Columbus has no shortage of Mexican restaurants, but we welcome every single one of them, especially when they’re as fun as the new @vivamexicankitchen_cbus in the @arenadistrict!We pulled up a table recently and started with the elote and the trio dip, then dug into quesabirria, pork carnitas, the Viva Burrito, and the steak Viva Fajitas that hit the table sizzling and didn’t disappoint.On the cocktail side, the Mexican Old Fashioned is a must-order, a genuinely great riff on a classic. The Hibiscus Margarita is beautiful and not too sweet. The boys went straight for the Jarritos, which is always the right call.Viva is a great addition to the Arena District, and I’m sure will be a quick favorite go-to before a Blue Jackets or Clippers game, or even a fun lunch downtown. Yes, please!@hangovereasy just opened their third Columbus location - and their seventh overall - at @bridgeparkdublin, and we couldn’t be happier to have this breakfast spot close to home. They’ve converted the former Kona Craft Kitchen into a diner, complete with a coffee shop and grab-and-go counter near the front.We’ve always had great breakfasts at HOE, and our first visit to Dublin was no exception:  A mug of @onelinecoffee, a French toast latte with cold brew, and a Vietnamese coffee Apple cider donuts with Aleppo pepper chocolate sauce Chicken and waffles with @milligansmaple syrup Lox Around the Clock: smoked salmon, egg salad, everything bagel HOE benny with chorizo Philly omelet Classic bodega breakfast sandwich‹“Breakfast Cures All” indeed! We visited our local @bobevansfarms and loaded up the table with the Fresh Strawberry Farmer’s Choice and the Chocolate Strawberry Farmer’s Choice, and honestly both of them earned their spot. The chocolate and strawberry combo is fluffy, indulgent, and way more satisfying than making breakfast at home.Bob Evans has always been a comfort food destination for us, the kind of place where the portions are generous and the meal actually brings everyone to the table at the same time. Kaya buns! They’re the big draw at @ayubakehousenola in New Orleans. Every morning they’re open, guests patiently line up outside the bakery on Frenchmen Street. On our last visit, we hit them up twice!The kayak bun is a laminated pastry filled with a lovely coconut pandan custard. It’s no surprise that they sell out regularly. But even if you miss out, your consolation prize is equally good: cinnamon rolls, carrot cake buns, Boudin Boys stuffed with sausage - and if catch them on the right days in season, the Crawssant stuffed with crawfish tails and mozzarella.
