For Porsche fans, PTS (paint to sample) cars are the ultimate form of self-expression – a way to order your car in a color that’s anything but standard. Some revive rare hues from the brand’s past, others are completely custom. All of them reflect something personal.
That’s what makes PTS so special – and why @ptsrs has become a mainstay of the culture around it.
This clip from Colors of Air|Water, curated by @PTSRS at the recent @air__water show, captures that magic in motion: PTS cars in their element, each telling a story through color.
At Bramo, we explore those stories – where design meets personality, and every spec says something about the person behind the wheel.

Air|Water 2026 Entry Stories 004:
Speed Yellow. Two generations. One unbreakable thread.
Some colors carry more than a paint code. Speed Yellow has always meant something on a Porsche, a statement of intent, a refusal to go unnoticed, a car that knows exactly what it is.
In August 2025, Damon purchased a 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera RS in Speed Yellow after losing his home in the Eaton Fire. He had insurance money set aside for things he would never buy again. Art. Objects. Replaceable things. Instead, he bought the car he had wanted his entire life and always believed was out of reach. He still has not replaced his home. He drives the RS every week.
Beside it, Jeffrey’s 2005 997 Carrera in the same Speed Yellow, X4X from the factory, paired to a six-speed manual the way it should be. Sport Shifter, Bi-Xenon lights, Speed Yellow seat belts, hydraulic steering, naturally aspirated 3.6 flat-six. No shortcuts, no modifications to speak of. A car purchased specifically because it was well-sorted and properly cared for, and driven that way ever since. The 997 at its most honest.
A house lost and a dream found. The same color, thirty years apart, at home on the same show floor on April 25. Come see them both and learn more at bramo.co
Limited car tickets still available. Link in bio.

Hand-painted and built from abandoned race car parts, @lufteknic ’s “Project Stuka” is unlike any other 911. Inspired by vintage aircraft camouflage, it makes you look twice.

Displaying his 1 of 12 1970 Porsche 914/6 GT at @luftgekuhlt 11, Christopher shared a special memory of a scouting drive for the annual Mt. Equinox Hillclimb race in Vermont that his young daughter rode along for.

Enthusiasts tend to have some truly memorable car stories. We asked Porsche fans at @luftgekuhlt 11 to share theirs, and Bryan Barker’s (@quikkix ) Ferris Bueller-like anecdote about his father’s 1978 911 SC Targa was one of our favorites.
@cstanman found his 1985 911 covered in dust in a Carolina shop – not running, covered in dust. Fifteen years later, after forty rallies and 300,000 miles, his vision still holds: a 911 built to drive—most recently to @luftgekuhlt 11—not to show. Read the full story in the bio.
Built for Team Penske, this 1973 Porsche 917/30 was the most powerful race car ever made – 1,500 horsepower, 250 mph, and six dominant wins in the 1973 Can-Am season. Driven by Mark Donohue, it set a 221 mph closed-course record that stood for over a decade. Recently featured at @Luftgekuhlt 11, read its full story on Bramo – link in bio.
Unrestored and still wearing its original Champagne Yellow paint, this 1969 Porsche 912 (@aircooled__porsche ) hides a 1971 911T engine – swapped and built by Rich Lambert at Zimms.
It looks bone stock until the ignition turns, then it runs with the “big boy” 911s. 15,000 rally miles across the East Coast later, it’s still the perfect sleeper – a wolf in sheep’s clothing built to be driven.
Bought as a graduation gift in 1973 by his father, driven to his own wedding in 1977, and still with him 52 years later. Read the full story on Bramo – link in bio.
