We began our work documenting the rich tapestry of Puerto Rican spirit healers for the Archie Green Fellowship in October, and will be continuing on this journey throughout the winter & spring. 🌿 Our first stop was in St. Cloud, Florida, where we had the honor of capturing the wisdom and magic of our grandmother, Jerusalén Morales who recently celebrated her 93rd birthday. Her life’s work has been a guiding light & inspiration for our own work. We can’t wait to share the tales of healing and heritage that we are collecting, all interviews will be available for viewing in the Library of Congress (@librarycongress ) next summer. ✨🎥

Last week we were hosted by the @smithsonianfolklife festival on THE NATIONAL MALL where we had the opportunity to present @yemayafilm and share stories about resilience, healing and spiritual encounters alongside our hermana Mar Cruz of Bomba Yemayá (@sebailabomba ). We were humbled and honored to represent Puerto Rico at this year’s festival and to find ourselves in community with people from all over the world. #2023Folklife #CreativeEncounters
