The screening of my Welsh Straight 8 film Y Rhaniad at Borderlines Film Festival in Hereford was a great chance to meet up with good friend Charlie who valiantly got wind blasted and soaked during filming and created the haunting score and soundscape that accompanies the visuals. We also met with BFI Midlands executive Natasha Wilson for insights on applying to the new and improved short film fund. Many thanks to the Borderlines team for organising such a brilliant event.
Really pleased to have my Straight 8 film Y Rhaniad screened at the Borderlines Film Festival in Hereford this weekend. This is the second of my Welsh Straight 8 trilogy - eagerly awaiting the results of the final installment in a few months time. There were many brilliant films screened including the Bafta nominated animation Visible Mending (Samantha Moore) and Doc Society short The Elvermen (Isla Badenoch) which won the coveted best film prize. Congratulations to all who screened!
Great to see Cof Ar Goll - Lost Memory on the big screen at the Borderlines Film Festival. Loads of amazing work screened and a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow filmmakers. Hopefully persuaded a few to take on the Straight 8 challenge.
