Hey everyone! Sam here. I’m very happy to share that I’ve started a new musical project, and even happier to say our first show will be at this year’s @arctangentfestival . I can’t think of a better place to share new music with you all.
The project is called moksha, which means liberation or transcendence in Sanskrit. It’s a collective of 9 of us making spiritual post-rock/emo/math rock- think caroline, Pinegrove, Clarity-era Jimmy Eat World, that kind of thing. It’s early days, but we’ll be releasing our first music for you early summer time. For now, to keep tabs on what we’re up to go and follow @mokshabanduk . This won’t be close to a full-time touring band, we’ll play live and record rarely but when we do I promise it’ll be very special.

After fifteen years of graft and countless life-changing shows, Ithaca said their final goodbye at ArcTanGent. Frontperson Djamila Azzouz sat down with us after the set to reflect on nerves, spinal surgery, writing a final song that doubled as a funeral, and the legacy they leave behind.

So that’s it. We want to thank you sincerely for packing out the main stage for our final goodbye, we were truly overwhelmed with how many of you showed up, moved with us, cried with us.
Thank you to Ed from @dshs_official and Katie from @pupilslicer for joining us for guesties, thank you to the @arctangentfestival team and most of all thank you to all of you for your support these last 12 years.

Any new projects that we do work on will probably be shared on here, but for now, this is goodbye. If you take away one thing from the existence of this band it’s this- reject nihilism, your trauma does not define you, healing is possible. You are loved and worthy of love.
