Vulture Fun fellow-traveller Daniel and four others are on trial in Germany folllowing an action at an Elbit Systems factory in September 2025. For acting against a genocide @theulm5 have been hit with a politically-motivated organised crime charge that carries up to five years in prison. Four are from outside Germany and the trial is expected to go on for three months, so their families are fundraising to be able to attend. Only 2 weeks to go until our spring gathering at @elysiumswansea - we wanted to hype up our line-up consisting of some amazing activist folk musicians from south wales, and the acts of those of us who organised Anarcha Folk Fest Cymru! So far we’ve sold less than ten tickets for this event, so if you’re planning to come it would really raise our spirits if you bought an advance ticket - link in bio! If you’re skint there are donation-based options and if you’re comfy there’s also some solidarity options! The event is part of an international day of solidarity @all.eyes.on.masafer.yatta 🇵🇸🫒🕊️ Additionally we’re super pleased that kids are able to attend the event, under 16s must be with an adult. We also have some vegan food being cooked for dinner, bring some cash! 🧄 So… on to the acts (in order of photos) 🎸 @bordercholly all the way from Dublin, she coordinated volunteers at the festival! 🌿 @beggarsbuttons from mid-Wales, Hazel and Leo were the driving force behind the whole event and James was a super-duper practical hero during the festival! 🫒 It’s an honour to have oudmusic_resists as part of this event, a Cardiffian Palestinian his passion for Oud and the power of music is inspiring! We were sad he couldn’t make the festival but glad he’ll be with us in Swansea! 🪕 @allinvain666 will be travelling from Liverpool to join us, he was doing the very hard job of welfare during the event! 🧷 @efasupertramp another part of the core driving force to make the Cymru event happen, closing the open stage on the last day of the festival was amazing fun! 🪉Y Delynquent, a Swansea local starting the day off with a Welsh Rebel Song workshop and then performing later on. She makes an angelic instrument sound so rebellious! 🎵 cosmoguitar, one of the people who set up the original AFF in Netherlands! We can’t wait to have his anarchic folk spirit in Abertawe! 🤠Billie Dragg - Swansea’s newest and rowdiest anarcha folk act. Country crust for trans hooligans! ….. and the wildcard acts closing the night: 🧸 @scarebearsband the punk band of Meg who was part of the core crew! 🔪 @killdrenmusic rave-punk by Efa & Nick (who did all the boring legal paperwork!!)
