This one is from Jan 24 when I decided to start using colour.
I HAVE STILL BEEN MAKING 3D ART ! I'm just trying to have more fun with it now that my survival isn't tied to obsessively trying to innovate on Blender.
Also posting work is stressful, but Instagram isn't real so no use being so precious about it.
"DREAMS OF THE BLACK RADICAL" - A reflection of my dissertation titled "How the process of commodification has impacted black radical social movements in 20th and 21st century America." In my dissertation, I analyse the effects of commodification on the perception, reception, and legacy of radical black political movements, examining historical and modern examples of actions taken by companies and individuals that have shaped our current intersectional landscape.
Drawing inspiration from Malcolm X's statement that the black radical "has no intention of integrating into a burning building", I believe that as we allow the memory of our culture and struggle to be literally and metaphorically auctioned off in a late-capitalist context, we are essentially running into that burning building. This situation leaves future generations with nothing but ashes, clutching disjointed pieces of imagery devoid of their original circumstance and meaning
SOUND ON
Made with Blender, Marvelous Designer, DaVinci Resolve and Ableton.
Yesterday morning I told Alex that I don't do fire simulations because they are too difficult and time consuming. It's a day later I've realised only one of those is true.
Simulation, song and render done by me in Blender and Ableton.
Car boys are male horse girls.
I haven't made a pure CGI shot in a while so I whipped this up for a bit of fun. Rigging a car was an interesting challenge. I think that I'll rig more machinery in the future. All of the image textures were collected from around new cross and cannon Street.
"LEAVE ME ALONE" - a digital piece that demonstrates how external influences have an impact on my sanity. A sensor detects when a viewer is stood in front of the piece, causing the Unreal Enigne animation on screen to change.
This is both my first Physical computing and unreal Engine project - a welcome challenge.
Choccy dog is my Magnum Opus and the first game I programmed. The only objective is to not let your dog eat the piece of chocolate moving across the screen.
