Good Morning ! CasualMax ! a fresh new colour ? can you believe it ? The final nail in the coffin for us trying to define genres, Max graced the cloudburst studio with a bag full of meditatative brain goo, crafting a mix that embodies the night before gently unwravelling into the morning after. I'll be honest, i didn't know max could chill out like this, after spending 2025 eagerly seeing him rock DIYs and clubs with a crazy blend of breaksy-housey-techy party bangers, i was beyond interested to hear that he was bringing the goo. This mix is definitely one to get on at the end of the afters when you're unsure whether to go to bed or double down on... you get the point. @ninanina27 is a London based institution of a selector. representing herself and @jazzysport.london . she constantly manages to impress with her versatility as a DJ. Whether it's footwork, freejazz or deep house, she WILL make it happen at a high level. next up for listening is a name you have never heard before - Pilani (YouTube link in bio) Pilani is a north-west England based, Zimbabwean born selector digging all things African. In high demand up north, having played legendary clubs like the Golden Lion in Todmorden and the Trades in Hebden Bridge, Pilani's selection traverses the African continent while keeping a close connection to the wider diaspora. ----- Pilani is my father, there was not a moment of my childhood where drums weren't echoing through our house. Without this man, cloudburst's obsession with global leftfield music would simply not be. I'd say follow his socials, but Pilani is a digital ghost, not a single picture or video of him exists on google. This tremendous old-school aura is likely what caused his face cam footage to corrupt post shoot. If you want to find him, you'll have to go take a trip to Lancashire (or dm @booleanmodifier ) same crew, same shoot. you all smashed it !
