I've given talks in uglier places. At @blenheimpalace today for #obs2026

Worse days for a wake up run around London. On today's Runna programme, a 4.5k fartlek with some fairly pacy bits (by my standards). Great way to stretch the legs before a full day in the studio for an upcoming client project.

Sorry to anyone in my hotel looking for an ironing board. It's my desk for this morning. One remote talk for a class of school kids, followed by a video call with some of my fellow @pomona.partners speakers, then off to client's offices for filming for an upcoming project.

Due to an unfortunate series of events, my daily has become my project car, and my project car has become a donor - before it was even close to running. So, this weekend the Spyder gets the Lexus L210 eCVT as electric motor. Then it's just a simple question of mounting the inverter and all the ancillaries, wiring, plumbing etc etc etc #evconversion

Regular trip to the roller rink. Going to feel it in the morning.

Not a Bamboo 3 tier shoe rack. But a Vauxhall Corsa electric steering rack. Which they appear to have sent with half the car. More #evconversion nonsense. Anyway, always nice to come home to fresh car parts.

Panel hosting is so much easier when you have an absolutely first-class group of people in the discussion. So it was today, when @mhr_international and @telegraph asked me to host a discussion on the future of learning at work. @anisamorridadi , @mr.oye , @maggiedepree and @tomchatfield needed very little prompting to deliver oodles and oodles of insight, value and entertainment to the audience at the Telegraph offices. I had an absolutely brilliant time chairing and could have carried on asking them questions for hours. Genuinely - I started with notes for an hour and ended with notes for a whole other hour! Huge thanks to the MHR and Telegraph teams for curating and sponsoring such a brilliant programme with such purpose at its core. The conversations with the audience afterwards made it abundantly clear how much they appreciate the value of this content. If #HR, #learning, and the #futureofwork are your worlds, make sure you join us at MHR's big event in September, when I'll be putting on my hosting cap again. Follow MHR's future of work content for details.

Tidying up my workshop at the moment with a bit (a lot) of #3dprinting, including this mount for my @lego @williamsf1official car.

Back at the Beeb this morning, talking about the future of phones - not the one in your pocket but the one on the hallway table! Or wherever it is you keep your landline these days - if you even still have one!

What if? It's a wonderful theme and one I couldn't resist the opportunity to respond to. So I'll be heading down to Bath next month for Bath Digital Festival. Come see me speak on the 20th May about a more optimistic view of the future. What if... the future isn't as grim as the headlines suggest? https://techspark.co/bdf/
