Brothers Clif and Doug Bond founded Bond Construction Co. in 2019, driven by a shared passion for high quality carpentry and building.
Together, they’ve brought their family’s long-standing tradition of craftsmanship to Geelong, the Surf Coast, and Bellarine.
The Bond family’s commitment to the trades runs deep.
Their grandfather was a skilled carpenter, and their father owned a respected tile and hardware store in their hometown of Deniliquin, NSW. It’s this legacy of hard work, precision, and pride in every detail that continues to guide the way Clif and Doug build today.
Bond Construction carry that tradition forward by delivering premium, bespoke carpentry and construction services tailored to the different needs of every project.

Wood House by JAK Architecture @jak_architecture in Victoria, Australia, completed in 2024, reworks a fragmented Barwon Heads home into a calm and cohesive family space 🌿. Rather than expanding, the project preserves the original footprint, with new elements carefully tucked beneath the existing structure to restore continuity and clarity. A restrained palette of raw, durable materials creates a quiet backdrop for everyday life, while the interiors remain flexible as the family evolves ✨. At the rear, a sunroom opens toward birch trees, capturing morning light and extending living outward into the garden, where sand, grass, and native planting shape an easy coastal rhythm 🌾.

A proud moment seeing our Barwon Heads project featured in the @geelongaddy today.
We’re passionate about delivering thoughtful, well-crafted homes where design, detail and build quality come together. Huge thanks to our clients for trusting us, it’s a privilege to bring these projects to life.
As the year wraps up, we’re grateful for the support with our local trades and suppliers and excited for what’s ahead with our next projects for 2026.
Before we start building your dream home, here’s what we recommend having ready:
1. Your vision – Pinterest boards, inspiration images, or a mood board.
2. A clear budget – Knowing your range helps us guide design choices.
3. Your must-haves and nice-to-haves – What’s non-negotiable, and what’s flexible?
4. Timeline expectations – Are you aiming for a specific season or event?
The more clarity you bring to the table, the smoother the process will be.
📌 Save this for later if you’re planning a custom home or renovation!

Thinking about a coastal renovation?
Here are 3 things to consider before you start:
1. Will your materials withstand coastal weather?
Salt, wind, and moisture can be tough on finishes, choose materials built to last.
2. How will you maximise natural light?
Positioning windows and doors strategically makes a big difference.
3. Are you designing for airflow and energy efficiency?
Good ventilation and insulation will keep your home comfortable year-round.
Send this post to someone who will be building on the coast soon.
