Today the newest DRAW FOR CHANGE exhibition is opening at the 21st international @comicsalon_er Erlangen, curated by none other than artist @victorialomasko Lomasko herself! 👏 The first five documentaries films from the series by Vincent Coen & Guillaume Vandenberghe, wil also be screened during the festival. There will even be an interesting panel discussion on Saturday the 1st of June at 5PM at Kollegienhaus. Check out the entire programme on ic-salon.de! 👀

WAAW 🤩 @sanitarypanels , protagonist of “Drawing a Line”, was just awarded the 2024 Kofi Annan Courage in Cartooning Award by @freedomcartoonists Foundation in Geneva. Chaired by Kenneth Roth, former Executive Director of @humanrightswatch , the international jury shares the 2024 Prize between two winners: Rachita Taneja (India) and Zunzi (Hong Kong). For Chappatte, president of the Foundation, “Both brilliantly embody the fundamental values of editorial cartooning: talent, freedom of spirit, and courage. With a bit of mischief.” For Sami Kanaan, Administrative Councillor in charge of culture and digital transition, “All the cartoonists competing this year deserve our respect for their talents and the risks they take.” CONGRATULATIONS! 👏 @cartooningforpeace

This year, in collaboration with @drawforchangetheseries, they are putting a specific . ️ During their ceremony @freedomcartoonists will be awarding at their ceremony on 3 May - 5.30pm.The evening of the ceremony will also feature a panel on women in cartooning with Rachita Taneja @sanitarypanels, @anntelnaes and @willisfromtunis, moderated by @christane_amanpour.The event is unfortunately completely full but you can follow the whole evening live via @freedomcartoonists and @graduateinstitute website. /In addition to a panel discussion, a screening, lecture and signing session are planned.Swipe to see the full program or go to freedomcartoonists.com ️

Een kleine throw back naar empowerende Internationale vrouwendag op 8 maart in @decinema_ ❤️🙏🏼 Na de screening van ‘A Stroke Of Freedom’, de Egyptische film uit @drawforchangetheseries gingen we samen met @chrostin aan de slag met pen, papier en stiften. En waaauw wat waren we onder de indruk van alle gesprekken, tekeningen, collages, boodschappen en teksten die eruit zijn gekomen. 💕🔥✊🏼
