Tammo Hesselink - Live at Ormside projects C100, transparent blue cassette. Limited run of 60. “I don’t get the opportunity to play a full set at 170 very often. When I do, I feel very responsible for doing my research well, as I come from a different background musically. This is a recording of a special night at Ormside where I played a lot of favourites from four decades.” Featuring tunes by Type, Paradox and Oaysis. Out next Thursday at the usual spots.

As you may be aware unfortunately @unit3_mcr has had to postpone there reopening following an unsympathetic H&S visit from the people with red tape 🙄 We’ve therefore had to postpone our friends affair that was meant to take place on the 11th april back to some time after summer! All ticket holders have been refunded. Today marks the release of my album, a debut full-length release, 8 tracks pressed as a double LP ~ leaving plenty of space for each track to spread out ~ DJ friendly discs only! On this record I wanted to lean closer towards more traditional dance music forms, focusing on directness of rhythm, and deliberate function of sound design/placement. Hopefully these tracks help you to immerse yourself into movement. The title borrows its name from the physics phenomenon referring to light refraction which, somewhat unintentionally, has a double meaning in the emotional context. Similarly, several of the track names are other scientific or engineering expressions - language which surrounds me in my day-to-day work and which I find often has interesting human parallels. To produce the artwork, we sent photographer Thomas Steineder an 8-sided prism and asked him to bounce light through it to capture reflections. I've included a couple of the digital shots in this post to give some xtra context, but the final cover art was produced without a camera, by wrapping the film directly round the prism and firing light into it. I love how it resulted in a subtly obscured, abstract soft interpretation of the original angular material, kinda reflecting the end result of the music. As always, big big thanks to Sam for being down with my ideas and getting this produced to Blank Mind's consistently high standards, really feels like the perfect home for the record. Tammo Hesselink @ormsideprojects - 15th November @tammo8000 joins us for his first UK show in a year, he’s a close friend and collaborator of the label and a diverse DJ with an encyclopaediac knowledge of dance music. He first released on the label in 2022 with the Silicon EP, and co-curated last year’s Lost Paradise compilation. Tammo has also released on @delsinrecords , @nousklaer_audio & @_midgar_ , and a regular on the Dutch scene at clubs/festivals like @draaimolen_ , @garagenoord , @deschoolamsterdam & @dkmntl . Lynne @ormsideprojects - 15th November One of London’s finest DJs in @lynne_tokyo joins us next week at @ormsideprojects for her final show in the capital for 2025. Operating in the space between drum and bass, techno and experimental music, she has closed Mostra festival and is a resident at @leschaosambiants , @astralindustries and @unknown____species . Lynne’s sets are always distinctive and singular, with a rare command of atmosphere and tension, which she also explores through her drone compositions. Link for tickets in the bio

Lemon D (90-95 set) at @ormsideprojects - 15th November Kevin King aka @lemon_d_001 is one of the pioneers of the UK hardcore continuum from hardcore through to jungle and drum n bass. His tunes always embrace musicality and reflect his extensive and wide ranging collection. Lemon D started out on his own ‘Planet Earth Records’ and had releases on labels such as V, Metalheadz and Prototype before setting up his own label and soundsystem Valve alongside Dillinja.
