I’m an old school devotee to hot rollers and mousse like my mama. When we were developing all our products for 🤎@blakebrownbeauty it was critical to me that people could achieve professional level results & volume, THEMSELVES, at home, and in a way that was CLEAN, and smelled amazing, making you feel your very best in every way. And at a more accessible price point. In my experience, the cleaner products didn’t give the same mega watt impact of volume and glam. So we worked for 7 YEARS to come up with the best products possible that hit all these markers. We were able to crack every hair staple product except hairspray. We couldn’t find a solve that hit every single marker. So we didn’t launch with a hairspray. A year later… we may have a surprise for you …very soon 🤫🥰 So here’s a peak into how I usually style my hair when I’m going out & all the products I use and how. This doesn’t take much time. And lasts for days. (Trick care of @vivianbaker ) -Burrito by @carrotexpress 🥰 This hair style will last for days (depending on your hair of course). The curl will relax over time, but eventually, on day 2-4 it just looks like a beautiful blow out. Extra points for whoever made it this far into my caption 🤦‍♀️😂 You’re a true friend.

8 min deep wave curls with @blakebrownbeauty 🤎✨for when you’re in a hurry but want a quick glam look for a special occasion. 🎁♥️ The trick is keeping your curling iron horizontal and using a terrific Hairspray (I’m obsessed with our new Classic Hairspray) for 24 hour hold, shine and lux softness and I can’t do a night out look without our Glam Mousse …it literally feels like it -at minimum- QUADRUPLES my volume. It’s wild. I have long hair but it’s fine and can lay flat without the major assist of our Glam Mousse. @blakebrownbeauty 45 min Volume Hair -done on my angel niece- from soaking wet hair to bouncy finish all while racing around in heels, wet hair myself (but an amazing purse to distract), styling for a room full of beauty editors, while talking alongside our whipsmart CEO Laura Tedesco and sharing all about @blakebrownbeauty & our NEW hairspray that I am CRAZY FOR, and then jumping back into styling, where of course I managed to maintain terrible posture the entire time, my mother is gonna kill me. But doesn’t @cakey.johnson ‘s hair look amazing?!(even though I felt like I was on Chopped :)) I’m a mother of four little ones, if it’s not chaos, I don’t know it. I was proud to share all the products we’ve worked so hard on for SO many years. On her: •She washed with our Strengthening Shampoo & Mask duo •she followed with our All-In-Wonder Leave •I put godforsaken amounts of our Glam Mousse in her hair, roots-ends (with most products at roots-mid hair) •I blowdried her hair. Using a wide bristle brush to blow the roots upward for maximum volume, then mostly rough dried the rest •once dry, I used our Classic Hairspray on each piece of her hair before hot rolling it •once all was rolled, I set her hair with a lot more hairspray :) I’m NOT SHY with how much product I use & our Hairspray is very buildable •we had no time so I hit her hair with the cold blow dryer to try to cool the curlers before removing them. •I removed the curlers. Back brushed her roots to mids all over her head for maximum volume •I added our Dry Shampoo for extra volume & texture. •I then brushed through her hair & added a final heavy spray of our Hairspray to set it •you can detail the hair to remove any flyways/add a little finish by spraying our All-In-Wonder Leave In into your hands & applying a little where needed. You can’t mess it up. And in my experience, if you use VERY GENEROUS amounts of product while doing this look, it should stay beautiful for days. It falls a bit over the days, becoming more like a blowout. You can refresh as needed with our Dry Shampoo which doesn’t leave a cast. It’s my favorite.😍 💖 Ok. I saw a beautiful quote along with a well loved child stuffy that said “to be loved, is to be changed forever”. This bunny has been so loved, so purely for so long. She is a family member. So of course, I had to turn her into cake. (As you see the backup bunny which is what the original used to look like, was the inspo. Made by a small female led business in Vancouver called @birdonelephant ) My daughter’s favorite treat is Cinnabon buns, so as I was making a vanilla cake I did a last minute pivot when I got the idea to try to make a Cinnabon bun flavored cake. I made a cream cheese pound cake (because I wanted the moisture but also the crunchy toasty outside) as two layers of sheet cake but added cinnamon to the batter. Then I made a cinnamon butter sugar filling like you would for cinnamon buns and used it as icing between the layers of cake along with a homemade cream cheese icing. Finally, I topped it all off with lots of cream cheese icing. New. Favorite. Cake. So. SO. Good. P.S. If you know the significance of a favorite stuffy you will love the account @loststuffyproject where they help track down hard to find stuffies for kids who have lost their best friends in all circumstances including natural disasters. Also shout out to @lovedbefore_london who takes stuffed animals that would be in land fills and restores them to give them new life, reduce waste, and create joy for the next kid. I worked in Orlando this week, and like any responsible adult, decided to stay to play. Any excuse to sneak my babies with me. Each park was more incredible than the last. But man oh man, that EPIC park is something special… when you’re in there, it feels like you’re living inside the movies. So magical. Core memories for all of us. Thank you @universalorlando for hosting us. We’re so grateful to have had that experience of being so inspired and connected as a family in those magical worlds you’ve built. It really is unlike anything we’ve ever seen 🪄💖
