This next month we’re highlighting our local Folly Beach surf photographers, the ones bringing us post session stoke every single day. From dialing in your surfing with some photo breakdowns, to landing these all time shots, or building out a proper portfolio, these guys do it all. Kicking things off with the one and only Blake Schieffer 🌊📸 @blake.schieffer “Hi I’m Blake. I’m a surf and coastal photographer based in Charleston and spend most of my time shooting on Folly Beach. I’m usually chasing early mornings, sunsets, and whatever conditions the ocean throws our way. I got into photography through surfing and being in the water as much as possible, and that passion still drives everything I shoot. Surf photography is at the core of my work because I love sharing the stoke. I get just as stoked surfing as I do shooting others in the water. Lately I’ve been expanding into product photography, keeping a coastal and lifestyle feel. What keeps me coming back to Folly is the community. It never feels staged and everyone shows up for each other. Puerto Rico! Didn’t get as many waves as we would have hoped. Ended up scoring a few waves in between the wind chop! @jacob_schieffer snagged my camera and filmed @madpelicanmarketing and I. Jacob scored this epic picture of a rainbow that sat right off the peak! Epic session! Thanks Jacob for the sick shots!
