It’s called Muny magic for a reason.
This is one of the first shows that got me into musical theatre. It was also my first audition when I first moved to nyc. No representation at the time, just a silly old self tape, to cover the leads, that took me to callbacks. Didn’t get it but I took it as a sign that maybe I could do this for real.
Fast forward to doing it in this capacity is something I never would’ve fathomed for myself.
This cast. This theater. This time we’ve spent sharing this with 11,000 people every night. Even the 11 rigorous days (still huh??) it took to make this. I’ll miss it forever.

this will be one of my fav songs for a while. this has also been hard for me to put out. so much comparison and insecurity. so much wanting the song to sound like something else. but a good friend once told me, “don’t let your references and inspos make you insecure about your music. It’s a Bryan record, the team did a great job, your job is to let it fly.”
