12 of my must visit spots in Washington DC 🏛️ I was bummed to see that DC didn’t get the love it deserved on the Michelin Guide this year. There are quite literally hundreds of amazing restaurants! Now I’ll admit, I don’t know all the criteria for what makes a spot earn a Michelin star, but what I do know is that I’ve had some of my favorite food at these 12 spots in DC! So if I had my own ⭐️ Bitesized Stars ⭐️ to give, they would get one! In no particular order: @annabelle_wdc @kappodc @primrose.dc @stvincentwine @florianawashingtondc @barjaponaisdc @emissarycafe_ @libertedc @sequoiawashingtondc @mercyme.dc @amparofondita @thegreenzonedc Save this for the next time your friends/family come to town and you’re looking for a special spot to take them! 🫶 __________ Top places to eat in Washington DC, best places to eat in Washington DC, nice dinners Washington DC, DC foodie, DMV foodie, DC food, DMV food, date night spots DC

and I’ll be visiting every time I go back 💕 When planning our weekend in Philly I happened to stumble upon @lorettasphilly and basically immediately fell in love. Their focus is really on high quality coffee, served in a small space, made by THE friendliest staff. Set in Society Hill, the shop is just a few blocks from Independence Hall making it a perfect stop before or after visiting the historic landmarks. Either sit inside or outside and enjoy a bite to eat or grab and go! In addition to their delicious coffee, they have a really strong sweet and savory program. The menu ranges from pastries made in house, hand pies, and sandwiches paired with seasonal items. I’d venture there’s something for most people here! A must visit if you’re a Philly native or visiting from out of town! _____ Cutest coffee shops, coffee in Philly, cozy coffee shops in Philly, PHL, breakfast in Philly, coffee shops near Independence Hall, coffee near the liberty bell, fresh pastries, where to go when visiting Philly, Old City, Society Hill

because dating apps should be social 💚 Single in DC but hate that dating apps feel so impersonal? @peared.social hosts events all across the city where you can meet your matches and others on the app in a low-stakes fun setting! There’s truly something for everyone, they’ve hosted events like workout classes, books and coffee, happy hours, arcade nights, and visits to art exhibits (like the one pictured here at the @phillipscollection ) They’re really fun, whether you’re single or just supporting a single friend. They offer time to chat, ice breaker games, and ways to stay connected after. It was honestly really beautiful to see so many people laughing and hitting it off! 💚 Follow @peared.social to keep up with their events schedule! almost like sipping in the French Quarter 🥃 A New Orleans style Cajun and Creole waterfront restaurant and bar just opened in DC and it has a gorgeous patio perfect for summer! The head chef is a French Canadian Québécois honoring his heritage and the history of both the Northern and Southern Cajun and Creole communities. The food titles even date back to what the creators intended for them, like the Poor Boy (instead of Po’ Boy) to pay respect to their culinary and cultural contributions. He wants to set an example to be proud of where you come from for his daughter, Maple. @catahouladc is also making some bold claims that they have what will soon be considered “the finest Old Fashioned in DC” so I’m calling on all of you Old Fashioned fans to get there, try it for yourself, and let me know what YOU think! (This is not the drink being made in this video) Overall, love the vibe here. It’s laid back yet fun, they have TVs showing sports, it’s on the waterfront, the drinks are strong, the food is delicious, and the story behind it is great. _________ Waterfront dining in DC, New Orleans bar DC, New Orleans restaurant DC, gumbo, jambalaya, dirty rice, hurricane, bourbon street, Decatur street, jazz, new opening in DC, best bars for summer in DC

Still looking for a way to celebrate mom this weekend? @brescadc is serving up a special seasonal 5-course Mother’s Day tasting menu at $145/pp that looks divine! On the menu you’ll find burrata and green tomato and hamachi crudo, mushroom omelette or king crab and caviar pasta, lamb or dry aged steak and eggs for 2, and a strawberry cheesecake! While what’s pictured here was the winter menu, and I’m confident the Mother’s Day menu will be just as good! _________ Mothers Day in DC, Michelin dining in DC, special menu, delicious food DC, where to take mom out to eat in DC, unique dining in DC, Bresca DC

this immediately became one of my favorite spots in DC The history of this restaurant and bar is truly impressive. Dating back to 1891, when it was Quigley’s Pharmacy, this establishment has done it all and now serves the local community and GW students good, affordable food and drinks. There are multiple floors, offering different vibes to enjoy. When we were there the top floor had live music and the bar was pouring drink after drink while the people sang and danced. The middle floor had a few guests enjoying dinner in a cozy vibe. The bottom floor had a standard bar top with TVs playing sports games. The cherry on top for me was the outside patio, with comfortable seating, string lights, a casual vibe, and great service. We were actually shocked at how fast everything was coming out. This is home to famous historic visitors and has been a safe haven for students when they needed it. From students asking the original Mr. Quigley to borrow date money, to Margaret Truman enjoying lunch, to getting as many students inside while people were being tear gassed during Watergate, to current day where the next chapter is being written - @tonicatquigleys stands strong offering the same supportive energy to their local community as they did over 100 years ago. _________ Best bars in DC, chill bars in DC, outdoor patio bars in DC, historic bars, affordable drinks, affordable food, bars near GW, George Washington University, live music DC, low key bars in DC, where to go out in DC, Foggy Bottom bars
