I owe a huge debt of gratitude to People Under The Stairs for influencing everything about how I listen to & make beats - their punchy, funky chopped drum breaks; the deep jazz cuts they sampled; their irreverent skits and fun-loving lyrics; and their fully independent, DIY ethos that defined their career. If you haven’t checked them out yet, do yourself a favor. I recommend O.S.T. as a great starting place. One of my most-spun albums of all time, still fun to go back to after all these years. (-Biro)
