SNOG: BIPED + SARAHSSON + GROVE (in Dub) AUG 22 @ STRANGE BREW, 7-10PM If we go over target, every penny directly to other activists legal costs in defence of Gaza, or organisaitons in Gaza. Kez was part of an Palestine Action measure in November. They along with 3 other activists locked-on blocking access to a weapons factory owned by Elbit (who produce 80% of the military drones for the Israeli state which have been used to murder children and people collecting food aid in refugee camps). On June 26th after months of mandatory travel, beuarocracy and bellitlement in the courts, all 4 activists were convicted of the new locking on law. They were sentenced to an 18 month conditional discharge which has now resulted in a permanent record, and could present further complications with visa bits, DBS checks etc. Each of them can walk away with their heads held high, knowing that they absolutely did the right thing in the face of the unspeakable horrors being supported by the UK Gov despite what the courts say. Nobody should have to pay their legal fees alone after putting their neck on the line in the fight to prevent these horrific atrocities. We’re organising a couple crowdfunding events as SNOG to try and get this target met as soon as possible. The actions of the four defendants came as part of an international effort to shut Elbit down for its crimes against the Palestinian people. The UK Government has aided and abetted the state of Israel with military aid for too long, while persecuting its citizens who stand up for international law and peace. We are organising this crowdfunder to support the four activists with the costs associated with their legal proceedings. With love, free palestine and fuck the courts <3
