For the ceremony, we had the joy of transforming the space into a lush, forest-inspired setting with moss, white roses, and hellebores—something that felt both intimate and otherworldly. One of our most special highlights was creating Rachael’s one-of-a-kind “scepter bouquet.” Bringing your vision to life by incorporating the ancient Egyptian Was scepter and a golden healer quartz sphere was both a creative challenge and a true privilege. Six months ago today, we said, “I do.” It feels like no time at all has passed, but also eons have gone by. It feels like nothing has changed, but everything is different. Wherever things go—whatever comes our way—I’m just glad you’re by my side. Ideally this next bit would have happened much sooner, but… life. Thank you to the friends and family who helped make this day happen… who were generous with their time, energy, talents, and resources, and for traveling to be with us. A HUGE thank you to @bartonorchards for breaking your “no weddings” rule and lending us the most beautiful backdrop upstate New York has to offer. Thank you to Barton Orchards event planning HERO @lo__down for literally making this day happen. Thank you @christinemerson for being SO wonderful with our friends and families, and for the absolutely perfect photos. Unironically, this was a “21st night of September” 🙃. Full of twists and little synchronicities- here is the photo story of J and L’s wedding day, at the historic Hampshire House in Boston. Our couple introduced me to their beloved “Make Way for Ducklings-” a book that has since become a staple in my home. After entering the park and getting some photos with the ducklings statue, we followed in their metaphoric (and literal) footsteps, as mounted law enforcement greeted and ushered us too, around the park. Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack would’ve been charmed. The mounted patrol even gifted our couple a horseshoe, which they eagerly displayed at their sign-in table. The ceremony was heartwarming and there was no shortage of tears and laughs through the evening. I was especially grateful that these two were willing to go along with any photo ideas I presented (I have the best clients, this is known). Between them, the other vendors, and the incredible team at Hampshire House, I couldn’t help but share. This late summer wedding in North Salem, New York had me putting on my dancing shoes like nobody's business. The entire setting of the day was nothing less than magical, from the love shared between Nadine and Lena and all of their friends and family to the soft tinkling of the rain on the tops of the trees as they spoke their personal vows. They even had a little art show of work from their loved ones on display during cocktail hour! Then, naturally, we all started scream singing on the dance floor to Taylor Swift and spun in circles to Dancing on My Own by Robyn. Ending the night with a big bonfire roasting s'mores was the perfect finish to such a charming, heartwarming day. Venue | Sal J.
