Ideally 6-9+ months for natural hair brides 🤍 Also, there are popular wedding dates, especially in Spring/Summer. So, securing your bridal hairstylist &/or Mua for your wedding day is vital, ladies. Don’t wait to inquire, especially if your wedding is this Spring/Summer. Start securing this month, as time isn’t necessarily on our side. But don’t fret! My time in the Catskill went a lil like this 🤍 Each woman in Danielle’s bridal party had the opportunity to choose their own hair look + dress. Started the bridal hair season with being Amber’s wedding hair vendor & I’m happy I did 🤍 🐚 Amber and Rachael brought so many of their love ones [+ a host of wedding vendors] to Long Island for their wedding weekend at @soundviewgreenport + @halyardgreenport back in March. 🐚 I truly enjoyed creating Amber’s desired hairstyle and the planning + prep process. The Washington’s 🤍 Witnessing Gisele & Tim together, especially for their first look, was one of my favorite moment to experience. Two looks I personally loveeee: a sleek look & a bun! 🤍 [They’re not the always the easiest to do, but I still enjoy doing them.] 🥀I had the pleasure of doing hair for 3 of Gisele’s loved ones. 2 of her bridesmaids: Meg [sleek, low bun] and Miranda [half up/down pinned up] & Gisele’s mom: loose low bun, with bangs and face framing loose curls 🤍 🥀 Product stars of the sleek bun look: @tresemme Smoothing Cream. Tamed her frizz and used on end of her hair before creating her bun @sexyhair touchable holding spray. A timeless look for yesterdays lovely bride, Camille [ @okayake ] 🤍 -Camille shared with me that she always wanted to have longer hair🥹 & that’s what I gave her for her wedding 🙏🏾 Having tight curly hair comes with a lot of shrinkage and definitely takes away from the appearance of longer hair. [So, for her wedding hair vision, Camille showed me an inspo photo of blow out kinky hair with soft, loose curls] We went with hair extensions that would still have texture to it and not be too silky and she wanted loose, but soft curls with not too much volume that’ll still have a bounce to it. Yesterdays Radiant + Stunning Bride, Amber 🤍 [ @amkmoho ] - Starting the bridal season off with my very first Salt & Pepper Bride! I’m really happy she’s a woman who fully embraces her grays and wanted to do so for her & Rachael’s wedding 🥹 Amber wanted a modest hairstyle that was true to her, showed her texture and her grays. While allowing for a different look than having her curls down, like she usually does. Amber had a inspo photo of Alicia Keys with two curly buns. So, we went with a variation of that style and added in pearls for an extra razzle dazzle! New York love stories are my personal favorites & so are these Winter Engagement Photos 🤍❄️ ❄️While doing Imani’s hair, I had the chance to learn more about how Imani and Noah met and their love story. [Im someone who lovesss love and will always enjoy listening + learning any couples love story.] Although, they live in DC now, and for sometime now, they actually met in NYC. When it came to engagement photos, they wanted it to be based in New York, since it’s where it all began. However, for their wedding, they will have it in DC 🤍 ❄️When it came to choosing a hair look, Imani presented me with two hair looks that were very different from each other. 1 look was a high ponytail with blowout, fluffy curls. & the 2nd look was the one you see here. I asked Imani for photos of her outfit to help her make a decision as both hair looks would look great, but it was truly about the overall vision of the look she was going for. After giving Imani my take on the vibe each look would give, Imani chose the 2nd hairstyle look and I’m really happy she did.
