Been cooking up a few beats in the laboratory... Dusting off some gear, learning the Akai MPC Software. One of the first tracks I came up with is called "Heavy Out My Boombox". Grabbed a few vocal chops from some of my favorite emcees including Emcee Nemesis. You can find all these artists on Big Noise Radio. This remix of "Heavy Out My Boombox" is produced by Noiseman. Digging through a few sample packs. Chopping some samples in the lab with the MPC X. This soulful sample comes from Soulscapes Vol.1 "...first original sample collection from Algorhythm Music Library. ...the focal point was to capture a classic essence and nostalgic feeling. ...analog equipment, live instrumentation..." The (remix) drums come from the BOTB Tuned Drums kit "C". Samples from Soulscapes Vol.1 chopped and rearranged. Chord in the Key of Eb Minor, "C" Drum Kit tuned up half a note to fit the Scale... The BRED API-2503 tone-box brings depth, color, detail, improved sonic image, spatial separation, natural-clipping, saturation and analog tone. Available with CineMag or audiophile grade USA made audio transformers. We chose API console style transformers for this design because of their legendary sonic coloring. The sonic history defined by Automated Process Inc aka API is legendary regarding American audio recordings. The first API mix-console was released in 1967. These are stereo high performance, bifilar wound, audio output transformers. Bifilar wound audio transformers are wound with two wires side-by-side to achieve tight coupling. This significantly reduces leakage inductance and improves high-frequency performance. Our API style transformers are manufactured by an American company that has been manufacturing classic designs in the USA for over 50 years. Components sourced upon request.
