Another one! Medaled in another Science Bee Regional competition. In the past two years, that’s 4 (one gold, two silver, one bronze) out of 5. Science is life, but I still have to show up looking like the baller I am at heart. Thank you @rookiekids for keeping me looking fresh! #StudentAthlete #BrandJordan #Rookiekids #allidoiswin
Got reminded of this while watching an interview with @tip yesterday.
Longtime followers will remember I used to have a joke band called “The Hezinators”. It was a joke band because it really wasn’t a band, just me aka Red 5ive on vocals, @arwengineer , and whatever friends were in the studio at the time recording the most ridiculous things we could think of during downtime. Google “Just Blaze Hezinators Let Me Have Another” if you want an example of the manic silliness.
However. Some jams came out of those Hezinators sessions that went on to do pretty well. 🫠
Man @solorockwell got home from school just as it got here. I guess he is the captain now.
@akai_pro your new slogan should be “So intuitive, your 8 year old will figure it out before you do”.
Just Blaze, Rich Medina, Arturo Nunez and Stretch Armstrong have each shaped culture from behind the scenes for decades.
Their paths look different, but they share a common thread: showing up consistently, building community, and protecting the integrity of the work. This conversation wasn’t about trends or virality. It was about craft, trust, and what it takes to last in spaces where attention moves fast but respect is earned slowly.
Pulled from a conversation on the Summit stage, these reflections offer a rare look at how culture is actually built and sustained over time.
Some lessons only come from being in it long enough to see what holds.

Crazy to think “Public Service Announcement” almost didn’t make The Black Album 🤯
One decision away from history changing. This clip breaks down how Jay Z’s PSA came together and why moments like this matter more than people realize.
Tag @justblaze and tell him it’s time to pull up for the next BackTrak episode. We need that story from the source 👀🔥
