Koraidon(?) —————————————————— Build Time: Too many hours over the past year Parts: Around 2000 —————————————————— This build represents a very long journey for me. Although I’m happy to finally share it, I admit, it’s not perfect. Over the course of a year I worked on this build to learn techniques of building constraction. Now, I can say I’m a much better builder because of it! Yes Koraidon is a little fat, yes it doesn’t exactly look like Koraidon, but these things are largely due to the chance in vision part way through the build. While I had initially aimed to make an arbitrary dragon design, by the end I had borrowed too many elements of Koraidon’s design to not give it that name. All in all this build was more of a personal struggle to me by the end, but I really wanted to push myself to finish it rather than scrapping it close to a year in. I hope people can still appreciate the build for what it is, but expect bigger and better things in the future! Kingfisher of Clubs Built for @biocup.official Round 2 Theme: WELCOME TO THE SHUFFLE! Subtheme: Clubs —————————————————— Build Time: 30 Hours over 11 days Parts: Around 1000 —————————————————— This is one of my favorite builds I’ve ever made to be completely honest. The theme clubs was quite tough to work with but after coming across some Pinterest art of a kingfisher as the king of the deck I really liked the idea. There are some great bird MOCs in Lego already so it was a tough challenge to make the wings look good, but after studying the anatomy I can confirm this is 1-1 accurate for the amount of feathers on the real bird. Had a ton of fun with it so much so that I almost completed the front side that can’t be seen as well, will definitely have to do that soon for a full 360 complete build.
