Some moments carry your whole journey inside them, Today was one of those moments! I’m currently working on a documentary for @ekohotels at 50 with my father Editi Effiong, and we were scheduled to meet His Excellency, Governor Sanwoolu @lagosstategovt @creative_lagos In March 2021 the Governor paid my tuition at EbonyLife Creative Academy. I came in with nothing but vision and left as the Best Production Designer of the first intake. Today, I stood before him again, Grateful! I didn’t come empty-handed thank you to my brother @theinstallbrand for helping me put something together. In that same room, so unexpectedly I saw The Queen! @moabudu Two people God used to shape my journey now in one space, and I’m standing I stayed when the jobs were free, I stayed when I didn’t know what I was doing, I stayed learning, failing, watching, growing, building. For the past five years, I’ve been building THLPHBT Designs Limited a production design company working across film, TV, commercials, and more. Projects include: Flawsome on @showmaxnaija The Men’s Club & Thicker Than Water on @primevideonaija Halima’s Choice for @naijaonnetflix and @unesco Merry Men, The Waiter, The Stand Up, All or Nothing, and recently Black Book: Old Scores with @anaklefilms & Nicky Winstock, continuing the legacy of great dad Pat Nebo We’ve also worked with brands like Milo and Coke Studio, while building and employing over 100 creatives and artisans. From that same vision by the grace of God I have built; @_mad_es handles event and stage designs (Alakada Reloaded premiere, Calypso Relaunch, Fantastic Four premiere), @bigtures_ focuses on space design, furniture, and fabrication, @propsstore.ng supports film and TV productions with props. I also founded @logosandheart a faith-based art exhibition platform for creatives. What a project! We’re excited to have led the entire visual direction for the world of Black Book 2: Old Scores, a cinematic experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen before in Nollywood. From Production Design and Art Direction to Set Dressing and Props, we poured our hearts into every detail to bring this immersive story world to life! After the director shared his excitement on Instagram, with industry platforms including The Hollywood Reporter and Nollywood Wire amplifying the news, principal photography has officially wrapped on The Black Book 2 – Old Scores, sequel to The Black Book. Written and directed by Editi Effiong @editieffiong and produced alongside Mimi Bartels and Nicky Weinstock, the film now heads into post-production ahead of release. At Artcast Tribe, we spotlight the world-builders. At the forefront of the film’s visual architecture is @thlphbt , the production design company behind its immersive and atmospheric world-building. Under the leadership of Production Designer @big_mossad , the vision was translated into lived-in environments rich with tone and intention. Art Director @_demii.lade , assisted by @miriamnwosah and @abisola_aby , led the execution and detailing of the visual framework, while Head of Props @justin_dangaye ensured the props division delivered with precision and narrative integrity. Beyond the Heads of the Art Department, this milestone reflects the dedication of a wider team of art directors, assistants, set designers, prop makers, scenic artists and crew, who committed months of intensive creative development and on-ground execution to bring this world to life. Their sustained effort, and collaborative excellence are embedded in every frame. The film is yet to be released, but believe that the artistry will be undeniable. THE PORTAL GATE OF FAITH & FEAR The Tales of Kadesh Barnea - as seen at @logosandheart 1.0 Every human journey reaches a defining crossroad; a moment where one must choose between faith and fear. This installation draws inspiration from three pivotal biblical narratives — the Children of Israel, Noah, and Abraham — each faced with divine instruction that tested their willingness to believe beyond reason. When the Israelites arrived at Kadesh Barnea, after an eleven-day journey from Egypt, they stood at the edge of promise; what was meant to be a forty-day passage into destiny became a forty-year delay in the wilderness. Fear, doubt, and murmuring replaced trust — a vivid metaphor for how unbelief can trap us in places God has already called us out from. The two gates, marked Faith and Fear, stand as symbolic thresholds of decision-making. The flowers adorning the gates suggest beauty and appeal; yet, they remind us that fear often disguises itself as safety and comfort. The gate of fear can appear attractive — but it leads nowhere permanent — while the gate of faith, though uncertain, opens toward divine fulfillment. At the center, the dartboard and clock hands symbolize human ambition and self-determination; our endless pursuit of personal goals and timelines. We try to hit the target, to meet the standard, to control outcomes — but in that striving, we often lose sight of God’s direction. Like the Israelites, we spend years circling what was meant to be a brief journey; chasing self-made targets instead of walking into divine purpose. Contd in comments.

NEW PRODUCTION DESIGN PROJECT

All I can say is thank you to my BEAUTIFUL WIFE. It’s EARLY, it’s YOUNG, it would be forever FRESH, REFRESHING and NEW, it’s TOUGH on some days and full of SHEGE and even SHEGE BANZA!! 😂 😂 but the CHANGE, the LOVE, the CARE, the SUPPORT and the GROWTH is very VERY SIGNIFICANT and I can’t trade it for anything! Please babyy choose me over and over and over again cause I will do the same . . . With you by my side I know ETERNAL LIFE is very within our reach! . Cheers to ETERNITY 🍻 my BEST FRIEND FOR LIFE!!!
