Rhodes House was not just a restoration, but a complete rethink of how a 100-year-old Grade II* listed building can serve a global community today.
We’re excited to share that the project has been shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards, in the Positive Addition (£2m and over) category.
Behind this recognition, there are new spaces, new connections, new ways to use the building — all designed to feel as though they’ve always belonged. It’s a celebration of heritage as a springboard for bold, strategic, and sustainable thinking.

A handmade arrival court marks @alisonbrooksarchitects landmark Cadence building – the northern gateway to the King’s Cross development. The court, a textural and sculptural composition crafted from a range of European stone, is planted with large-leaved plane trees and blocks of English yew shaped to evoke the rolling countryside.
The masterplan by @alliesandmorrison Porphyrios Associates and Related Argent is up for this evening’s RIBA Stirling Prize. Congratulations and best of luck to all involved.

Throwback Thursday
Situated on the northern side of Vauxhall Bridge, Riverwalk stands out as a high-end residential building designed by @stanton_williams
We designed the roof terraces and landscape within the public domain. With the objective of enhancing the site’s biodiversity, the proposal encompasses extensive planting on roofs, balconies, and terraces.
Additionally, we introduced a public green area, Riverside Walk Gardens, as the setting for the building, with an incredible range of perennials and grasses that enriches the use of this public space.
Completed in 2016.
We designed a new outdoor working space for the @gpe_london new office building on Hanover Square in Mayfair.
The Medici Terrace concept for this space was to create private rooms that could be used by office workers placing lightweight pots to subdivide the linear shaped terrace.
The planting proposals include a variety of drought-resistant grasses and perennials with long-lasting flowering periods. The quality of the hard landscape details complements the architecture by @lds_architects
