Set up to spotlight the city's vibrant comedy scene, the city-wide Birmingham Comedy Festival is the UK's second longest running comedy festival and one of the largest independent multi-site arts festivals in the region. You can find out a bit more about the festival over on our website. HOW TO GET YOUR EVENT INTO THE FESTIVAL - Email us a few brief details about what you're proposing (if you haven't already). - Once we've given it the thumbs up for inclusion, then (if you haven't already) find a suitable venue or promoter. We do not insist you use specific locations, so any venue within Birmingham (the area defined by City Council borders) is fine. Please note that all activities must fall within (or for events over multiple consecutive days, straddle) the festival dates: Fri 2-Sun 11 Oct 2026. - Once you have 100% confirmed / booked a date & venue, let us know the date(s) and venue, including capacity, and request a SUBMISSION FORM from us by email. The form is so we have all the correct info about your activity in a simple standard format. (NB. Submission Forms are not for speculative activities). - A nominal SUBMISSION FEE is due when the completed form is returned. This is based on venue capacity (details are on the form). - Return completed form and pay fee before the deadline. - Job done. LATE SUBMISSIONS - we will continue to accept submissions after the above deadline. However, we cannot guarantee these will be included on the website, in media notices, socials or printed materials, at launch. A higher Submission Fee may also be due. FESTIVAL NEWS! We're very pleased to reveal that we will be returning to the always fabulous @moseleyfolkfestival this September for the umpteenth time! On Friday 4 September 2026 there's the brilliant @phlaimeaux himself Mr David O'Doherty. And we'll be back on Sunday 6 September 2026 with @watsoncomedian and not one but two Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award winners: @ryanslewiscomedy and @amusingarab Hasan al-Habib - two of this regions best emerging comedians.
