Sometimes it’s not about having more……it’s about seeing the pieces you already own in a different way.
A beautifully styled table doesn’t need to feel complicated or overthought. Using texture, layers and a few thoughtful finishing touches can completely change the feeling of a space and make gatherings feel more relaxed, personal and inviting.
It’s less about perfect styling, and more about creating an atmosphere that feels warm, effortless and enjoyable to be around.
Less pressure.
More confidence in the pieces you own.
And learning to enjoy the process.

Hosting workshops was a tool I implemented 5 years ago as a shop front to my tablescaping business. Little did I know that over the years, and after welcoming hundreds of guests, workshops and masterclasses would now form a major part of my business, and I love them!
Just like the clothes we choose can change how we feel, the way we style our homes and tables can transform a moment. It’s not about perfection; it’s about care, intention and creating space that feels considered. From everyday meals to special celebrations, I help you make every gathering and every day feel meaningful and comfortable.
This May I am hosting a styling Masterclass at Fenwicks in Canterbury, selecting beautiful pieces from their summer range to demonstrate and chat through all the ways you can elevate your tablescape yet host and style with ease.
📍Fenwick Canterbury

I hope to see you there!….. S x
Sometimes on weeknights I set the table, sometimes I eat straight from the pan. Life is all about the balance, right?!.

Your tableware collection is so much more than just buying plates and bowls, it’s about creating a setup that actually works for you and your home.
I often think of it like building a capsule wardrobe. When you understand your style, the colours that suit your space, and the pieces you’ll actually use, everything becomes far more straightforward.
Instead of overbuying or second guessing, you create a collection where everything works together. It saves time, simplifies decisions, and makes both everyday meals and hosting feel easy and pulled together.
Once you’ve got that foundation in place, setting your table becomes second nature, no stress, no overthinking.
It’s not about having more, it’s about having the right pieces that will work for you for years to come, injecting seasonality with interchangeable accent pieces along the way.
If you feel like your cupboards are full but nothing quite works together, or you want a setup that saves you time day-to-day, I can help you streamline your collection, create an edit for future purchases, and work through bespoke presets to make setting your table easy effortless every time. 🤍
Booking for July & August. X

An April photo dump as a working mum in the Spring sunshine.
I had a huge amount of joy from the beautiful weather, hosting workshops, planning and hosting the @smallbusinesssupperclub_kent wellness lunch and exploring the gorgeous new tablewares hitting the shops for the Spring Summer season, with a little larking about on the side to round things off.
It also seems I ate pretty well this month! For research and inspirations purposes of course. 🤍
Looking forward to a fun and busy May x
Sometimes the best reset is a couple of unhurried hours to wander ✨
Yesterday I spent some time exploring Fenwick in Canterbury, soaking up their new homeware collection and it’s such a beautiful balance right now. Think bold, colourful pieces that bring personality into a space, layered with timeless classics you’ll keep reaching for every day. Think @addisonrosshome salt and pepper mills, @maegenhomeware oil pourers, and @emma_bridgewater platters.
What I loved most was how it all felt curated rather than overwhelming, those little touches that make a home feel considered, not just styled. The kind of pieces you collect slowly, mix effortlessly, and actually live with.
If you’re craving a seasonal refresh or just a bit of inspiration, it’s definitely worth a browse 🤍 plus 20% off some items this bank holiday weekend, in store and online.
I’ll also be hosting an in store tablescaping masterclass event at the end of May along with cocktails from @wildbox - tickets coming soon!

It’s all work and no play.
But if you’ve ever eaten an @waitrose Almond Ricciarelli (or 4) you’ll know it’s a battle worth losing…. Only the best snacks for my clients. Snacks 1, Sarah 0. #kent #tablescaping #hostathome #privateworkshop #tableware
Workshop season is well underway for spring/summer, and messages like this are exactly why I do what I do.
If tablescaping or sorting and editing your tableware has been sitting on your “I’d love to, but…” list, consider this your gentle nudge.
I’d love to help you bring it all together in a way that feels natural and relevant to you.
My inbox is always open if you’re curious 🤍
Thank you for the review @goldenpeacockdesign

Such a simple step, but it really does transform your table.Â
Adding a place name instantly makes everything feel that little bit more considered and personal. There’s something so lovely about sitting down and seeing your name waiting for you, it never gets old.
But it’s more than just how it looks. It becomes part of the whole experience. Little ones love getting involved, helping to set the table or making name cards for grandparents, aunties and uncles, it all adds to the feeling of bringing everyone together.
Whether they’re handwritten at the kitchen table or beautifully made, they carry so much thought. A chance to bring in the season, a pop of colour, or even a small note for each guest.
And of course… they do make organising where everyone sits that bit easier too.
My top tip if you’re having them personalised ask for two different fonts and colours so you can keep them and reuse them again and again 🤍 Thank you @jadetangstudio for always creating the most beautiful handwritten placements. Â
One small detail, but it adds so much. Now who’s going to give this a try?!Â
