What a lovely piece of news!
I've been named a finalist at the 2026 @smallbusinessawardsuk for best small business.
What was just an idea whilst on my 2nd maternity leave three years ago is now a fully running small business.
These three years have been full of ups and downs and have honestly tested me on a personal level like no other. But I have proved to myself that I am more capable that I realise.
Building up a set of clients over these last 16 months has been a wild ride but also such a joy. Working with families in their homes and entrusting me with their space has been absolutely incredible and I am very grateful.
Being able to help clients give their homes the clarity and order they deserve gives me the greatest satisfaction so this one is for you too!

Well there you go. The last 17 years in a 1 minute reel.
I've always been organised, teaching definitely sharpened this skill for me though. I would organise and run the Nativity, put together the staff Christmas party, organise and run the whole school events and calender etc.
When we went travelling I put together a spreadsheet of events for an entire 6 months...every single day was planned so we made the absolute most of it all (most people's nightmare I imagine) but I am a planner.
Being a primary school teacher has given me so many skills to be able to do this job. Yes being organised is important but this job is SO much more than this.
It's managing people, reading them, understanding their needs and the brief they may not yet know they need.
It's a shoulder to cry on, someone to share laughter with, to relive moments from their lives often deeply personal that they may have been putting off for months or years.
It is so much more than pretty labels and matching baskets. Although there is usually a heavy dose of this.
The psychology that sits behind this job is what I love. Meeting and connecting with clients and reading them and how they feel on the phone or on the day I meet them is all so crucial for how effective my services can be.
I ensure I make every job I take on ends in supporting clients to live in a stress free space, a home that can bring them calm and peace and one they can't wait to get back to.
My goal is always this. ❤️

Clarity is everything.
This is what I care about deeply when I work in homes with clients.
The way it makes them feel, what feeling I am hoping they will have once I shut the door behind me and the work is done.
That sense of relief, calm, composure and clarity on their home. It all makes sense once again and the client feels lighter knowing that order has once again been restored.

A little bit of beautiful storage is a nice treat for sure. This is one of my favourite brands I use in my own home and in client homes when a little bit of luxury is requested.

There is much more to this job than bringing you the right storage and systems. It entails something much deeper if you choose to let it.
It is something I hadn't necessarily expected when starting this career but it has quickly become my favourite part.
I think it's what I spent the last 22 years enjoying in my previous career, often taking on the problems at home for parents that chose to share, giving them advice and ideas to soothe all that was going on for them, all whilst holding a class of 30 kids ensuring they were happy, achieving, settled and thriving.
Would you expect this if you were booking me?
It's there for the taking, but equally not everyone chooses to share and that is also okay. Along with a big dose of optimism and laughter I'll be glad to bring your space back into order for you and your family.

As a busy parent myself, I understand and breathe the problems you experience from right when you walk through the front door.

A recent true story and one I drove back for. Being a perfectionist is something I have to check in with myself on occasion. It's a friend and a foe.
The Mum was surprised when I knocked on her door 5 minutes after leaving.
But making sure everything is just so is important to me, knowing all has had a final check and in its place is key.
I think this particular family I have been working with over a series of months has meant we have formed a familiar and comfortable working relationship.
We often spend time chatting and laughing which is all part of what a session entails as she pops in and out during my time with her family.

Shed season is in full swing.
An incredible shed with this client in East Sussex. So much space, under utilised and a dumping ground in need of a bit of an edit and reorganise.
Kids growing up and lots of things needing to be edited out meant the shed had to work with the season this family were now finding themselves in.
