Volunteering roles don't get much better than this!
We need bookish folks to help out with our book club;
What will you be doing? Reading. Mostly. you'd have a month to read the chosen book and then you'd be helping to lead a discussion at the meet up, either in person at Coffee #1 Eastleigh, or online.
Our book club covers a wide range of literature so there'll always be something new and interesting to talk about. So far we have read:

Theatre For Life brings their next and biggest project yet, in collaboration with @beyondreflectuk
I Was Always Here is an electrifying journey through trans+ histories. From the first trans surgeon, to the green rooms of the 90s club scene, through 1920s speakeasies and gothic literature, we celebrate the lives of trans+ people that history so often forgets.
Our company of LGBTQ+ theatremakers blends music, digital storytelling, and cabaret, in a trailblazing verbatim play developed from personal narratives in creative workshops, interviews, and conversations with trans and gender-expansive people across Hampshire and beyond.
In a time where trans+ lives are called constantly into question, these stories are more important than ever. This intergenerational story will make you laugh, make you think, and give you hope when hope seems hard to find.
This project is supported with funding from @tnlcommunityfund thanks to National Lottery players.

This month's swimming social is on Saturday 23rd May!
whether you're swimming for fitness or fun you should be able to swim without fear of judgement. Our new monthly swimming social is here for you: Wear what you want, change where you want, and have a wonderful hour and a half swimming with other trans folks.
Pre-booking is essential for this event. You can book on the swimming social event on our events page on our website or by clicking the "socials and actives" button on our linktree. Ideally bookings should be made by the 13th. However if you miss this deadline we may still be able to squeeze you in, as long as you don't require any access arrangements.

It’s the busiest trans person in the biz herself, Ri Baroche! 🥳
Ri is a writer, performer, musician, theatremaker, drag artist and facilitator based in Hampshire, passionate about telling trans+ and queer stories in fresh, unexpected ways, and supporting LGBTQIA+ creatives to tell their stories in their own words ✍️
She’ll be mistress of ceremonies on Thursday 7th May for the launch of our writers’ new work, with guest performer Aubrey Blakeledge. You’ll be able to buy the new work, including a foreword from Ri, at the event at John Hansard Gallery.
