Posting about 2 months after the fact (because mom life ha) but my baby turned 1!!! Our Lily Love makes the world brighter. Love you so much my sweet angel 🥹🎂💗

Then and now 🌺 Happy Mother’s Day to all! My greatest joy in life is being a mama to my most precious Lily bear. Motherhood is my favorite. 🥹💗

Last week performing @wheeldony ’s After the Rain and @jjbeamish ’s Winterbourne for @balletvancouver ’s inaugural performances! Thankful to my mom for coming with me to help with Lily until @simonwexler could arrive. Also, thankful to my father and bro in law for helping during our November rehearsal period. I love getting to share these experiences with my baby girl and family 🥰💗🩰

Forever grateful to the one and only Ben Stevenson. My first director who guided me into the ballet world and felt like family to @simonwexler and me. One of the most generous, creative, and hilarious souls. I’ll always cherish the countless dinners with the most interesting conversations, movie marathons where he shared some fav films (always with scones, clotted cream and tea), and all our trips. There are many memories I’ll always hold close like ending each day with limoncello in Italy. The first night he ordered it for us and it became “our thing”. I never had the heart to tell him I didn’t like it but I loved that time with him. He also really showed me the meaning of telling a story on stage. He was one of the most incredible actors and I was always amazed at how he could demonstrate the simplest moments in a ballet but in such a clear and moving way. Another little tidbit and very Ben moment was when I performed Snow Queen for the first time, I was 15 and my partner @paulcadams was much taller than me. He gave us a card with a little girl and a horse, taped my face onto the girl and Paul’s onto the horse, and wrote something like, “Giddyup! Go get ’em!”. Also, when he called to congratulate me on Lily he said “Betsy Boo bobs had a baby boo bobs!” He always called me that 🥰 Ben touched many lives in a big way and he will be missed ❤️

Nutcracker looked different this year! So grateful to my awesome mom for coming on tour with us and helping look after Lily until Simon could join! Very special getting to introduce our baby girl to The Nutcracker and have my mom and Simon backstage 🥰💗🎄 Also, my dad and Simon’s parents joined us the last weekend! Thankful for family and all the support!!! Merry Christmas Eve! ❤️
