Self-taught producer based in Nantes, f0xxi weaves together elements of folk, melancholic pop, and post-club sounds. His music is filled with synthetic melodies and downtempo rhythms. It unfolds like a confession: carried by intimate vocals, acoustic and electronic elements constantly interplay, seeking a delicate balance.

« Simon Bousquet’s sculptures, crafted from concrete, steel, and lead, might overwhelm the space if they weren’t imbued with the delicate silences that dwell within frozen gestures. In the washhouse of the Cité Jardin —a former workers’ quarters now transformed into a collective studio— his works rediscover the memory of the forms that ressemble them. Simon Bousquet’s dormant archives tenderly attempt to narrate what materials reveal about our era, and what they impose on the body that shapes them. Guardian of legacies and stories on the verge of disappearing, the artist leads us along the paths of a landscape where prints become fossils. »

@le_bousq and @bergonz__ are happy to introduce yet another collab happening soon at @hyper.terrier ♡
A new solo exhibition for @le_bousq , curated by @bergonz__ , is taking shape within the old wash-house of the Cité Jardin. For the occasion, their matching outfits were immortalized by @emma_prevost_ 🌸
« FRAGILE(s) arrives like a gust of wind, both raw and gentle, like the whisper I have sensed in his work for so long: the breath of the heaviest of materials, bending under the weight of the human stories they embody. For what has bound us together —since our days at the School of Fine Arts, since our past romance turned into a deep friendship— is precisely this attention to the stories that things carry. »
📷 @emma_prevost_ Huge thanks for this great shooting 🦋

Over the past few months, I’ve had the pleasure of spending time in my studio at @collectif.bonus and at @hyper.terrier ’s Lavoir to continue working on my project, 𝕭𝖑𝖆𝖉𝖊𝖘 𝖔𝖋 𝕸𝖊𝖉𝖚𝖘𝖆. Amid the filaments of microorganisms crowding Ernst Haeckel’s anatomical plates, the syrupy flavors of Medusa continue to waft through the studio, the buoys grow covered in pearls, and thanks to @le_bousq , treasures of Zamak emerge from the forge.
@eugenie___faurie and I also took a trip to Saint-Nectaire, where I had the pleasure of meeting the Papon family and seeing the @fontainespetrifiantes . Many thanks to them for their warm welcome and their enthusiasm for my project. I can’t wait to see where this first exchange will lead us. 🍀

“For cellules grises, the Scroll galerie has brought together local artists for a collective exhibition that highlights the creative process in all its richness and fragility. Works and projects lie dormant in the studio: labyrinth of our creative fantasies. With the collaboration of set designer Florence Hamon, the exhibition captures those moments usually invisible, hidden beneath the pale tarpaulins that cover the dormant forms when we leave a place for an indefinite period.
A testament to creative resilience, each sketch can suddenly become a spark, each prototype a saga, each trace a precious imprint. Highlighted like rare jewels, these moments of research and experimentation bear witness to the inexhaustible power of our imaginations.”
Huge thanks to @scroll_galerie for this last exhibition text. One rarely has the chance to write a few words on so many friends and colleagues; big up to Nantes’ artists. 🦋

Suspended by its tendons, the tip of a split heart clings to the wall. Its petrified tentacles, already attacked by pearlescent artificial coral, lick its shimmering surface. It warps and distorts as we gaze at it.

“Through the juicy membranes of kelp blades, the 𝘗𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘢𝘭 exhibition ventures in search of elixirs that will enable us to reach midnight zones, healthier socio-cultural and ecological territories. Like bubbles of resistance, these macro-spaces fight back by questioning the survival of our ecosystems. Thus charting paths toward other futures, they intertwine humans, non-humans, biospheres, and deep waters in relationships that are both resilient and symbiotic.”

“As we delve deeper into the clammy intimacy that emanates from her paintings, Carole Mousset draws us into a mutant mythology combining underwater biology and insidious science fiction. The sticky flesh of her chimeras sinks languidly into the abyssal darkness. In the scum of waters corrupted by human chemical waste, aquatic creatures with mystical powers mutated.
Viscous anemones secreting fluids, hagfish weeping their slime, and stringy tentacles bristling with sharp fins; all entwine in the unknown depths. In this aqueous neo-mythology, wyverns, Medusa, and their monstrous sisters lurk and prepare for the onslaught. Heroines of a tale that breaks down the barriers between care and resilience, they secrete their bittersweet venom. A honeyed dissent seems to rise from the waters to restore the power of our imaginations; and these hybrid beings, brushing against the contours of our futures, whisper to us of the turmoil of storms to come in the muffled groans of a mermaid’s call.”

“Washed up on other shores, water becomes a conduit between worlds, seeping into the marbled architecture of Emma Prévost’s caves. Both mineral and organic, her paintings of aquatic immersions take us to the riverbanks of underground lakes. These hidden lagoons slumber at the heart of vast, deliquescent cavities with a sacred character.
Sites of metamorphic incarnations, these fabled water tables and their petrifying waters dissolve and regenerate the rock, inviting us to embark on a Catabasis. Like the initiatory trial undergone by Greek heroes and heroines who descend into the dark depths of Hell, lascivious figures populate the artist’s fleeting landscapes like ghosts. They are the silent accomplices of a ceremony summoning the submersion of bodies. Moving from one vital conception to another, Emma Prévost’s Sirènes (Sirens, 2023) guide us beyond the clear surfaces that rumble beneath the earth.”

“Following the curve of the rivers, Yan Tomaszewski takes us on a detour to the source of the Seine. Sequana, the healing goddess of this thermal sanctuary, once welcomed pilgrims who came to offer wooden, stone or bronze votive offerings, like fragments of suffering bodies entrusted to her healing waters. Buried in the mud, these sculpted limbs were preserved, becoming relics of a devotion where care and worship intertwine.
Today, Yan Tomaszewski revives this pagan ritual. Carbonised and then wrapped in a cotton shroud containing activated charcoal, his sculptures are plunged into the river both to purify it of its impurities and to reveal and analyse its waters. Combining contemporary scientific phenomena with the extra-human origins of the spring’s mystical properties, these neo-druidic offerings become both remedies and witnesses, uniting myth, art and science in a shared procession.”
