@aloslebir ’s December 23, 2024 monumental ride at Mavericks, in the running for Men’s Biggest Wave and Men’s Ride of the Year.
The December 2024 Pacific Ocean swell was like nothing I had ever witnessed before, and this wave was something else altogether. It was a mountain of water, rising from the sea, overwhelming the horizon, and Alo, towed in by
@lucapadua , rode it beautifully. I captured this water angle from the back of a Waverunner that was piloted by my husband
@bennettwilliamz (my “secret weapon”, as
@seasachi says) who put us in the spot and navigated us through this now legendary day at sea. All of us who were present – dedicated, lifelong Mavericks photographers and videographers, safety teams and athletes from around the world - witnessed many extraordinary moments that day, and I am honored that we, along with a handful of others, were there to document the magic.
