Because of this crew I spent 18yrs documenting my life and everything ridiculous around it, turned a passion into a career, and still haven’t put the camera down… it’s all come full circle. They were my hero’s turned friends who inspired and instigated an entire generation and all of them after, 25yrs later they’re still just as dumb and just tough, just a little bit older. Laugh, cry, possibly even poop yourself one last time this June ☠️

THE MAN WILL BURN, the first documentary series on Burning Man will have its world premiere at @tribeca this June 9th & will soon land on @hbo !
When I was originally approached to take part in a Burning Man film in 2021 I was grateful but hesitant to put a camera to my favorite place on the planet, a place I take a break from filming and absorb, a place that is special to so many people, how could a film ever capture the magic? Well, @vkgandhi dust-boarded me into it and 5 years of filming later this project is the wildest ride of my film career in every fun weird way possible. Getting to spend so much time in and around Burning Man telling the story from the beginning until now with the greatest gonzo group of filmmakers has been an honor and a dream come true.
Thanks to our incredible team and to everyone who allowed us to film them on and off the playa, it was an enormous undertaking to try and do this project justice bringing the @burningman magic to screen. Join us at Tribeca this June or cash us on HBO very soon, how bout that?! ❤️🔥
Company Retreat treats! If you’ve seen it, thanks for watching, if you haven’t, shame shame and here’s some spoilers. It really doesn’t get much better than filming shows like this with a production and actors who are total wizards at what they do. I’ve been fortunate to work with some of these people for over a decade on the most fun and absurd projects. I followed @jurydutypresents through from the first days of casting the actors to Anthony saving Rockin Grandma’s from those pesky redhairs… So many months of planning, weeks of rehearsals, kisses between grown men, all to bring out the true hero in @anthony_norman !
Today is the day, world meet @anthony_norman ! Every once in awhile the good guy wins, and everyone once in awhile you’re part of a project that makes the nearly impossible possible, and completely blows your mind filming it. It’s a real Truman-esque show with a thousand moving parts; Over 60 hidden cameras, 5 weeks of rehearsals, an entire business and camp built for the actors and improv artists to live in for two weeks with Anthony (the only one who doesn’t know he’s on a show) so that he can hopefully do right while everything else around him goes wrong, making him a true hero! “Company Retreat” premieres today on @primevideo@jurydutypresents

As some may know, I’ve been collecting memorabilia from one of my favorite movies, ‘Hook’ over the past 10 years. Well I just received Peter Pans (Robin Williams) marbles from the film, along with one of the original scripts and Thud Butts hat… from the man himself, Thud Butt!
My entire life has been inspired by this film, even more so now being a double dad. The marbles are special because in the film they represent not losing your identity, playfulness, imagination, sense of adventure, and never becoming too rigid or disconnected with your childhood self. All things I’ll be bringing to these two spawns of mine, and a constant reminder to not lose my marbles… (Jax is partially named after Jack, Peter Pans son). So they’ll each get a marble to remind themselves of this also… because as we know, these adventures are never over and “To live would be an awfully big adventure!” #Bangarang
South by Southwesters, filmmakers, friends, and reptilian revelers! Our doc series “Monsters of God” will be premiering today at @sxsw at 12pm. While the project will remain mysterious and I still can’t say much about the film, I can say that I’ve been shooting this project for nearly 5yrs, it’s the trilogy animal doc (about reptiles) to Tiger King and Chimp Crazy, and it will be viewable to all on a large network later this year. It’s been another wild ride with a thousand stories I can’t wait to share and for you to see… so if you’re in Austin, go get your sneaky peek today you slithery little snakes!

Coming in at 8lbs 14oz and 23in long! (Our Doctor said he’s the longest baby he’s ever had in his 20yrs 💙🩵)
At 41 weeks and after 2 long days of laboring during the full moon in hopes for a VBAC, we ultimately surrendered to another c-section in the middle of the night. I’d like to believe Theo was protecting us and knew this was the entrance for him. While it definitely wasn’t the birth of my dreams, is it ever? Our babies and bodies are miraculous and can endure incredible things! Forever grateful to my body for a healthy pregnancy and baby; in the end, that’s truly all that matters. We could not have done this without the love and care from so many! Our doula, Candace @livitydoula , my Doctor who supported our wishes the entire way while keeping us safe, and the nurses who worked so hard over those 4 days. Our parents, friends and family for the constant help, support and generosity. My man Benji for being so positive and encouraging the entire journey. And Jax for being the sweetest big brother! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now a Family of 4 🖤💛💚💙
