It was a great pleasure to be in Bahrain this weekend, attending the Bahrain Jazz Festival and Woman of the Year Awards. It was my first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and received such a warm welcome and met some amazingly talented people. Thank you to Simon Brewer and George Middleton for facilitating such an enjoyable trip as we explore opportunities in the region.
I’m so sad to hear of the passing of David Lynch. My brother showed me ‘Mulholland Drive’ when I was about 13 and I fell in love with his work.
In 2016, I was introduced by my father-in-law to David’s team to help find an unreleased collaboration with @sadsparkle for a beautiful film about him. They were so kind, and David agreed for a track to be shared with us for the movie screening. It was an unexpected and gloriously true-to-his-word experience, and I’m very grateful to have had this tiny not-quite-communication with him.
I hope he’s catching the big fish somewhere.
