Salsa momento de amor, from my Woven Sanctuaries series.
I love the warmth in this piece. I built their skin from a flow of colorful, coiling yarn, so their embrace feels alive with texture. Her red dress is a dense, raised collage you just want to touch, standing out against the patterned floral canvas that becomes the wallpaper of their intimate room.
For me, salsa is a way to find pure joy and escape the noise of the world. This momento de amor (moment of love) is their shared refugeâa safe space they create just by holding each other.Â
There is such a quiet peace in their connection.
A paradise crafted, thread by thread.
