Back from a meaningful printing collaboration where I was introduced to linocut as both a process and a way of thinking.
Working collectively, carving, inking, and transferring marks learning through shared gestures and conversations.
Thank you @marcos_jinguba_ , @theartscompanysoweto@elton_thabo@molefethwala@dangerkotsiii and @ashbymostudio for the warm welcome and for making me feel at home. Grateful for the exchange and excited to keep exploring this process in my practice.

Towards The Distant Home - Still on View.
Mohammed’s technique, a meticulous process that begins with
photography and spans the layering of silkscreen prints of the
photographs, acrylic, pastel and collage, is where his artistic voice is sharpest. His process and composition keenly weave memory, experience and imagination into vivid snapshots of a world where childhood is at the center stage and where imagination is at its purest. Embedded in this process is a trained level of care and attention that drives his vision. - Mahmoud Brimah
The show is still on view till the 24th of February, 2026.

Gallery moments with Salihu Mohammed’s debut solo - Towards The Distant Home.
The body of work offers an introspective meditation on the unseen forces that silently sculpt who we become through a lens of semi-abstraction.
