Turned 40 today 😳 I used to picture 40 and think 'who knows if I'll still be DJing' - happy to still be here and happy that it's still my favourite thing to do. at times this year it’s felt like im looking at everything through a prism, all the different elements of my life feel like they’ve been taken apart and rearranged, and things are catching the light in different ways than I’m used to. playing music for people has felt both slightly trivial and also beautiful and essential. my relationship with it feels lighter and more intuitive, and i feel like it’s been easier to access the joy in it recently, which is lovely and surprising. it feels like my heart has been doing a lot more of the heavy lifting this year; maybe my brain will re-engage in 2026. hope to see you at a show somewhere, next year/every year happy new year! i love my family! *might delete due to excessive sappiness

last night on the radio show we broadcast a live recording I've been sitting on since the end of last year, from @oilclub_official in Shenzhen it's a slightly frenzied uptempo selection reflective of the extremely fun freakazoid energy of the club, and their wicked soundsystem. i'd been touring quite heavily at this point and everything was feeling kind of effortless in a way that doesn't really happen unless you're playing out all the time. i’ve always had such a good time DJing in China - shout out to Yu Su, Youpo and Knopha!
