Finally got our hands on a hard copy of the @luxemagazine March/April South Florida edition with our El Cid project on the cover. Many thanks to editor @lifeofjennsmith of Lux and the design, construction, and styling team who made this all happen.

Surreal to open J. McLaughlins 2026 resort catalog and see our our El Cid, West Palm Beach project. We watched the production behind the scenes and the incredible amount of work the j McLaughlin team put in to make our gardens come alive and the models dance, splash, and party through the tropical paradise…it came alive!
Thanks to the @jmclaughlin and photographer @jeff_allen for getting these amazing shots!

Lots of laughs and genuinely great insights at our Modern Luxury conversation inside the Primestones showroom in Miami moderated by Jesse Bratter. We spoke about our Kips Bay Palm Beach experience and how stone a defining role in the spaces played. We reviewed how shared how praticaitping in a showhouse becomes a powerful platform — not just for design, but for public relations, vendor partnerships, and the intersection of craft, photography, and media.
I highlighted the two Primestones materials I used at Kips Bay: the richly figured Verde Ligure that became the sculptural cocktail table top in my Metal Garden, and the elegant Manalapan Dolomite that anchored the juice bar in my Wellness Garden. Both materials helped tell the story of how stone can shape atmosphere, durability, and
narrative in outdoor spaces.

Excited to share some news: @hadleykeller and I have joined the Board of Directors of the @classicist_org , Washington–Mid‑Atlantic Chapter.
A grounding in classical art and design
isn’t about looking backward, it’s a foundational skill set for anyone working in landscape architecture, architecture, or interior design. Proportion, precedent, and craft shape how we build today, and I’m looking forward to helping bring more artisans, makers, and design‑focused companies into our chapter so the full ecosystem of craft is represented.
One of the most meaningful parts of my involvement with ICAA has been teaching in our New Heights program, which introduces middle‑school students to classical design and to design careers they may never have encountered. I didn’t even know landscape architecture existed until I was scanning college majors my senior year of high school. Expanding that awareness earlier can change the trajectory of a young designer’s life.
I’m energized by the work ahead and excited to help strengthen the bridge between classical foundations and contemporary practice across our region. If you’re a designer or in a design-related industry please reach out about lecture, sponsor, and educational opportunities, I’d be happy to chat!
In this garden retreat, Verde Ligure marble commands attention as a sculptural conversation pit table, its deep green veining mirroring the surrounding landscape and anchoring the space with a quiet, organic elegance. Complemented by a Manalapan Dolomite beverage counter, the composition softens into a refined interplay of form and function, where every element feels both intentional and effortless.
A study in restraint, this setting illustrates stone’s enduring versatility: when thoughtfully sourced and expertly finished, it does not contend with nature, it dissolves into it. Nuanced tones and layered textures create a sense of depth and harmony, allowing materiality itself to become the defining gesture.

Many thanks to the incredible @jmclaughlin production team for choosing our "Casa Tortuga" project in historic El Cid, West Palm Beach, as the backdrop for their Resort ’26 catalog. It’s fascinating to watch a garden reveal its many moods from morning to evening, and seeing the space interpreted through their lens was a true pleasure. Their blog also features a very kind feature on me and my work—worth a look, link in stories.

Episode III — THE MAKING OF A MOMENT
Great work happens when everything aligns.
Time was a challenge, but so was the ambition behind the Serafim.
Through close collaboration, hands-on direction, and a deeply engaged atelier, the piece came to life.
A collaboration between Maestro Louis Beltran and Bob Bell, and crafted by BELT, the Serafim marks the beginning of a new chapter: BELT Collectibles: Artist Editions.

It’s the last day to see the Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House benefiting the Palm Beach County Boys & Girls Club!
Before the house opened, Robert Bell planned Design Career Day with several of the house’s designers and sponsors to bring the kids of the local West Palm Beach DeGeorge Clubhouse. We chatted with the kids about careers in design, craftsmanship, and construction and the pride we feel in making beautiful things every day. @kbshowhouse@bgcpbc
Many thanks to: Anthony Talton Executive Director of the DeGeorge Clubhouse, @kimmiknecht of Elliman Group, Jack Lynch of J McLaughlin and Katie Selby of Selby NYC for the swag bag. The designers and sponsors filled the bags with pencils, paper, garden tools, hats, and water bottles to encourage many outdoor design adventures! Thanks to @amylmcardle , @firefinish_interiors , @shavfm@lisaerdmanninteriors and everyone else who helped plan the visit.
Introducing our “Plume” light as seen at the Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House. A feather or a frond, the Plume complements modern or traditional architecture and its solid copper construction is durable enough for the salt air in any coastal environment. DM for details.
