This is an idea I have had for a while now. A lot of work went into this project. I absolutely love planning shoots and building sets. I wanted to create an image that was styled by me with a set designed by me. I have recently started using AI as a tool to pre-visualize my shoots and allow me to plan them with even more details. It really helped this look come together. I even drove to a bait shop over 2 hours away to borrow this shark pole.
I’m just so pleased with how this turned out.

a few weeks back I had the pleasure of working with a logistic company that specializes in large or unique loads. This project was to document the loading of what is at it’s essence, a winch. There were so many technical challenges on this project. Between loading the item into this jet and then shipping it safely to South Africa, there were dozens of challenges that these professionals had to overcome. One of which was simply fitting the box into the cargo area.

I’m putting together a small crew for an upcoming short film shooting in Terlingua, Texas from April 26–30, and I’m looking for a few solid people to join the team.
I know this is a bit of a long shot and definitely a last-minute ask, but I figured I’d put it out there anyway.
Open roles include:
– Production Assistants
– Grips
– Documentarians / BTS shooters
– And a few general utility players who are down to help wherever needed
This is a passion project, so there’s no pay, but lodging is covered, all meals will be provided, and there’s a $50 per diem.
It’ll be a tight, collaborative crew in a pretty incredible location. If you’re looking to gain experience, build connections, or just be part of something creative for a few days in the desert, this is a good one.

TORCH – A Psychological Thriller Short Film
The desert isn’t empty.
Torch is a psychological horror short film set in the remote wilderness of the Chisos Mountains in West Texas. The story follows Elias, a man fleeing a fractured life who escapes into the silence of the desert, only to discover that the landscape may be watching him.
Inspired by the haunting isolation of Big Bend and the legends of ancient watchers hidden within the stone, Torch blends atmospheric horror with the stark beauty of the Texas desert to create a piece of Desert Noir.
This video is our crowdfunding pitch to help bring the film to life. Your support will help us create the practical creature effects, capture the cinematic scale of the desert, and safely film in one of the most rugged landscapes in Texas.

Today I turn 41. That still feels a little surreal.
If you know me well, you know I have never really lived life according to age. I have been incredibly fortunate to experience more than I ever imagined. I have traveled to beautiful places, met fascinating people, and built a life around creativity and storytelling. Being able to do what I do is something I never take for granted.

"Torch" is a project that has lived in my head for years. Initially, I wanted to create a photo that was lit dramatically and practically by torchlight. I talked with my good friend Ryan about this, and we decided to go out and shoot it.
I loved how the photo came out and knew I wanted to develop a story around this image.
For a long time, I didn't feel I had the tools to do this story justice. I needed to grow as an artist and a person before I could step behind the camera for this specific journey, and I am happy to say that I am finally ready to share it with all of you.
The best sessions often start with a dialogue.
Meeting @danwintry last week, it was immediately apparent that his passion matches his discipline.
Dan is currently moving between coasts, and that “New York hustle” is evident the moment he steps in front of the lens. We spent the afternoon in the studio creating some incredible frames. The synergy was effortless, and the results speak for themselves.

I set out to create an image that captures the quiet ache of futility.
That raw, unfiltered instinct to keep reaching, clawing, fighting.
There’s something primal in the struggle,
even as the weight threatens to pull you under.
You know you may not win.
But still… you don’t stop. You can’t.
I imagined a body in open water,
thrashing against the pull of a heavy stone,
tied to a rope in their grip but unwilling to let go.
The surface shimmers just out of reach,
a blur of light above the deep.
Every stroke is defiance.
Every gasp, a war cry.
The ocean is endless. The burden, relentless.
But still, they fight.
Not because freedom is promised,
but because something inside refuses to surrender.
Not yet.
