Wow. Never felt more pretty handsome. When I first shaved my head many years ago, it was right around my initial coming out . At the time, I remember distinctly being asked if shaving my head meant I wanted to be a boy 🙄 . And as much as I wrestle with being in a body, I’ve never felt I am in the wrong skin. (My pronouns are she/her which I also don’t feel attached to, and I could do without my chest but that’s another story and aligns more with aesthetics than sex and gender 🙃). I’ve also never equated hair with femininity . I’m extremely feminine in my own eyes. I’m sensitive. Soft. Intuitive. A feeler. But my hair ? Gendered ? Huh? It falls in the same category for me as being called a boy in grade school because I wore my work boots everywhere (okay, I guess there WERE signs of me being gay young🌈🤣). As I get older, I now know that coming out is only a speck in the beautiful messy glitter that is queerness. Because staying out is the journey. And we must courageously effort to find and return home to ourselves, all while dismantling the ideas and thoughts of who we “think” we are or are “supposed” to be. Because when we do so, not only do we free (and heal ) ourselves - but we give space to everyone around us to do so as well. I hope you leave behind those ideas of self that’ll you’ve been indoctrinated with for who knows how long as we ride into the year of the horse in 2026. I hope you come out of yourself even more this year than last. She/he/they is beautiful and deserves to be here, to be seen, and to be loved. With heart (but no hair), Be #buzzcut #newyear #write #pride #lgbtq

🏔️ Running 21 miles through a forest with 4k elevation gain looks (a little) like this 🏔️ The MOST fun. (And most chill I’ve felt leading up to any kind of start line - just ask @brittiniborden 😅). What was also incredible was crossing the finish line knowing there’s A LOT more in the tank. I signed up for this race five days before it, having only run my long runs right now weekly around 14mi on trail (though averaging 50mi weeks currently) and honestly feel like I just opened up a secret box within myself. Endurance is high. Stoke even more so. Next race ? Not sure. But it’s gotta be soon. And it has to be longer. Guess watching @cocodona250 all week planted the seed 🤣. Now to harvest. And to keep on having fun while taking a lesser traveled path in endurance sports. Everyone out there was also so damn NICE. And the cotton candy grapes at the aid station were 💯 Flow state unlocked. Let the next series of adventures in endurance, and PLAY begin 🤘 (A fuller download to come at some point of this weekend’s adventures because it was also just a really special trip), but for now just this one 📸 from @jamesholk from the Tilamook Burn Friday with @daybreakracing 🌲 ) #TrailRacing #TrailRunning #Run #Nature #Wild #Explore #Grow #EnduranceSports #Trails #Oregon #PNW

It’s so funny how your body always knows what’s coming up before something even happens. Every run has felt like a 🐌 crawl this week, but I think subconsciously my body knows I’ll be in Moab next week logging some serious miles while doing trail recon and is saving some battery. Excited to explore parts of the area I haven’t before, and hopefully make some memories my muscles can remember come October 🤘 #running #ultrarunning #dogs #trailrunning #fitness

20 miles clocked 🫡 with 3700ft of climbing Fueled fully with @tailwindnutrition (and only ate half the 🌈 bagel so missed out on those carbs 🫤 - also leave the hate for the dyes - we all have our vices and a colorful bagel and a cold fridge cig of a Diet Coke might be mine 🤣) 🧢 @tailwindnutrition 💦 @tailwindnutrition (tropical is 🤤) 🍼 my comfort water bottle from @that.triathlonlife with the label coming off as I use it everyday #running #nutrition #ultrarunning #fuel

How I feel about a woman winning the overall race for @cocodona250 🫶 So inspired by @rachel__entrekin and stoked for my all time favorite @tailwindnutrition 🍉 pro @courtneydauwalter . Happy Coco week to everyone running, pacing, spectating, volunteering, and making this sport what it is. Absolutely wild and epic. #trailrunning #cocodona250 #running

✨4th overall female this weekend up at Bear Mountain 🐻 Excited to kick off this season with a fun one and happy with how I felt during the race - but especially after. Legs feel strong and I’m right on track for where I should be 23 weeks out from Moab 240. It’s a long, slow build but I can already feel the work paying off. A few fun races and adventures this summer on dirt. Would love to add a backyard ultra to the list and have my eyes on the Midstate Trail 🌲 Have any you recommend ?!? Let me know below 😎 The main goal of it all is simple : stack it up slow and smart and find play in the wild. Follow along as I train for Moab 240 and share the journey with you. #running #moab #ultrarunning #trailrunning #fitness

It makes perfect sense that when @tailwindnutrition emailed me letting me know that I was chosen for their Fuel (your) Further campaign, I was of course...running. Logging miles that are slowly building and adding up for Moab 240. Quite possibly the wildest thing I’ve signed up for to date. Not that many who know me are surprised. I remember running into @eric_lagerstrom last summer and he had asked what was on my horizon, jokingly mentioning Moab 240 to me and that I am someone crazy enough to do it. He probably didn’t know then that the idea was already brewing 😅 But I think it unconsciously has been taking seed since July 2020. You see, I went there not really caring if I came back (yes, think of that what it reads like, because it’s just the truth of a deeply lonely and dark time, and there’s no running from it now, and it serves for a longer story another day...) But while traversing a winding canyon, I lost my truck camper not once but multiple times. Flying off the back of my bed, I watched in the rearview as it could’ve easily struck someone or taken someone’s life. Something as a Buddhist I could never imagine. Immediately it struck me - what about my life? Wasn’t it just as valuable? It was an instantaneous shift. A breaking point. A making point. And it changed my perspective on just about everything from that hot 112 degree day forward. Today I am 23 weeks out from Moab 240. I’ve got my friends and family and a crew stoked for it (my partner’s likely a little scared and hoping I put a little more time into sharpening my navigation skills 🤣). And I’m beyond grateful to share that Tailwind will be fueling my journey. It’s extremely humbling to know that when I line up for Moab 240 this October, I’m not just supported and cared for, but I’m not alone. Along with an image of the truck camper I left behind in that canyon of Moab 6 years ago, I also have Wild Heart tattooed across my chest. I like to think that each day I remember what that truck camper symbolizes to me, and that I use this one wild heart to sip and soak up everything I possibly can from this one life 🤘 #fuelfurther #fuelyourfurther #tailwind #ultrarunning #trailrunning

Forecast for Saturday is looking particularly wet 😅which is no surprise seeing as 99% of my races have been in very inclement weather. Inclement might be too gentle of a word, actually. There was that one time I did a 70.3 in a hurricane with 40MPH winds. Then that 12 hour ultra with rain/sleet/snow storm out at Suttle Lake 🙃 Good thing I love a gray day. Pairs well for @noahkahanmusic 😉 #running #trailrunning #photography
