Now streaming on YouTube: āLook For Things Where You Can Find Themā. A journey into the core motivations for multisport and what the future could holdā We poured everything into this one. Hope you love it, and if you do, share it with a friend.
Sonoran Dogs, gear fails, beers, and parts unknown. @seanwattiewatkins and my first overnight gravel trip, āThe Last Hurrahā before hip surgery, is up on YouTube š¤
Joshua Tree š I wear FR every single day, without exception. Iām not sponsored, I donāt get paid to say it, Iām not paid to wear it. I just love what it stands for and how it makes me feel. Ralph is a close friend, a mentor, and has been there for me when I feel like pulling my hair out over some entrepreneurial thing or another, so Iām more than happy to take a last minute flight to the desert to hang, make new friends, explore some new roads.
What I realized when I was there - moto guys, car guys, people who ride pedal bikes, weāre all after the same thing. Getting off the edge of the map, covering new ground every chance we get. Planning trips, talking story around the fire, fixing shit when it breaks.. truly mastering the machine, the connection with it, and pushing further every day. Same goal, different wheels.
The Foreign Rider Analog Collection is live, itās fantastic, and Iām looking forward to some TTL x FR projects in the future š¤ get out get lost find your way
A dream day. In chronological order. Drop the wife off in town, snag a quick coffee, and drive 13 miles of forest roads with some dog running. Drop dogs, switch to gravel bike, hand off car and dogs, and finally do the traverse over to Sisters. Only took 5 years to get around to it. Somehow rode through a foot of snow and 6 inches of summer-level moon dust on the same ride. Forest fire season will be wild. Second longest climb of 2026, only behind Lemmon. Super fast descent on road, what. A. Blast. Climbing in moon dust is death. āBeautiful Bullshit Tolerenceā seemed like a good name for this route. Chain was squealing in agony with 20k to go. I knew I shouldāve bought more squirt last week. Nothing else holds up. Arrive home to a fresh Costco haul. Doesnāt get any better. Feeling the most normal I have in months. I could live in a cardboard box if this was every day.
Putting in the boring work āļøSurgery aside, my hips were in serious need of work. Iāve always enjoyed this aspect of injury recovery. You can take the time to do the little things that fall by the wayside when life gets busy, and thereās an opportunity to come back better. #thattriathlonlife #triathlonhips
Graduated to mini buoy and no floaty shorts. Time to start looking for an open water swim race š¤
Iām actually working on a bit of a stroke overhaul, fueled by a complete and true lack of kicking. I think Iāve been stuck in between a hip driven stroke and a shoulder driven stroke all my life, with a disorganized crossover kick, and this might be my moment to go full shoulder driven and see where I end up.
