BBTCOR invites Dutch electronic pioneer @maartenvdvleuten , tomorrow from 17:00-18:00 on Echobox.radio. Together with @sarah.ssssssss , the show dives into an ode to the 90s chill-out room - tracing its roots from 1989 to today and looking ahead to what a future version could sound like. Expect ambient deep dives, context, and atmosphere. They will also spotlight Maarten’s latest release: a limited 7” vinyl featuring reimagined covers of Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart” and The Cure’s “A Forest,” both transformed through his signature ambient-electronic lens. Born in Vught in 1967, Maarten van der Vleuten is a key figure in Dutch electronic music. Across decades and more than two dozen aliases, his work spans Detroit techno, electro, house, experimental and ambient. With releases on R&S, Apollo, Djax-Up-Beats and his own Signum Recordings, his influence runs deep - and still resonates. Tune in.

We are so happy to announce our artist in residence @lou.elieditcosaque who will contribute to the scenography of our upcoming BBTCOR x Spielraum weekender on 4–5 April at the Arena space of @club.raum 💘✨ Lou Elie dit Cosaque (b. 2002, Paris) is a French-Caribbean textile artist living and working in Amsterdam. Her artistic practice explores textiles and language to weave stories and mythologies that connect forgotten Caribbean memories, symbols and imagination. Through her practice, she seeks to give form to worlds that reimagine lost pasts and envision alternative futures. She moves between textile installations, writing, oral storytelling and costume design to create spaces inviting viewers into shifting narratives of belonging and transformation.  She holds a BA in Fine Arts and Textile design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie of Amsterdam. Her recent works were featured at Manifestations festival during Dutch Design Week, Eindhoven (2025); Her series ‘Wishes for the Future’ exhibited at NoLimits! Art Castle gallery, Amsterdam (2025) and Sexyland World, Amsterdam (2024). As a commission she designed stage costumes for artist M Alberto at the Gaudeamus Festival (2025).

A Helpful Guide to Better Slow Listening * it is not merely techno slowed down * It is not just a bunch of sound effect records played at the same time * It is not boring If the downtempo music you are used to hearing is any of these things, chuck it in the garbage, because it’s a waste of your time. music requires one to listen. Like Muzak, music creates an environment that you enter while listening. Notice how no other sense is necessary for this experience no fractals to look at. no patchouli to smell, no bean bags to lie on. These are all superfluous. All you need are your ears and an active, open mind. Anywhere you want to go, good downtempo can get you there - minus the jet lag, minus the come down. All it requires of you is to listen. Birds, wind, cars, people - a rhythm of random, natural sounds perpetually performed: the concert of life. As John Cage has said: “Music is all around us. if we only we had ears.” So listen, listen to your own rhythms: your heartbeat, the sub-bass rumble of your circulating blood, the music bubbling forth in your brain. Don’t tune them out just because you ve heard it all before - it’s beautiful, and it’s free. Travel deeper than your surface perceptions, listen behind the sounds. around the silent spaces. And listen actively - we have been conditioned into passive listening, an activity that requires virtually no action. music can help you fly, but you still have to flap you arms. How hard you flap only depends on how high you want to go. Adam Douglas. Redwood City, 1993 Thank you for 2025 ❤️‍🔥we can’t wait to share what we’ve been cooking for 2026 💨 @kantarion.sound @club.record @club.raum @spielraum_amsterdam @vangoghmuseum

Still processing our last BBTCOR at @club.raum during the @spielraum_amsterdam weekender. What a ride 💫 When we started BBTCOR, the dream was to bring back proper downtempo chill-out rooms to clubs. After a year of taking it around different spaces, we finally got to do it the way we always imagined: a weekender at Club Raum. That was the heart of the idea, and it feels so good to see it come alive. Thank you to our amazing DJs @dj_shahmaran @thelazergazer @sarah.ssssssss @zobayda__ who created the perfect atmosphere. 🌀 Big love to the Club Raum family, Diego, Sven, Lucia, Chrissie, Charlotte, Glauco & Ismay, thanks for trusting us and letting us use the space like our own playground. Months of production led up to this, and seeing it all in action was beyond satisfying. This wouldn’t happen without the help of @sobroh @dafaux.willem @felixdejong @charley_meyer who helped us with the build up. And of course BBTCOR wouldn’t be the same without our sound wizard Ivan @kantarion.sound 🫶✨. Till the next one 🖤 📷 @dafaux.willem

We are so excited to collaborate once again with our dear friend Ivan from @kantarion.sound for another edition of BBTCOR during the @spielraum_amsterdam weekender at @club.raum 13/09 ✨ Kantarion sound is a constantly evolving structure. Commanding the sound experiences in Laak Club, murmur, San Francisco bar and beyond, or moving its own sound system through adventurous spaces and experiences. Touring through the Netherlands, France, Italy and elsewhere. Its holistic practice carefully considers spatial design, space, acoustics and audience, whether it’s a permanent fixture or a mobile experiment. A presence that is as friendly as it is monstrous, Kantarion is a sonic playground for the deepest listeners to the highspeed sensory seekers. Inspired by dub sound systems and the punk attitude of Zagreb’s DIY scene, the system carries a unique technical DNA whilst staying true to its cultural reference points. Kantarion Sound is collecting noise complaints since 2016. 🌀✨🔮🖤
