As an organization that has had “lesbian” in our name since 1990, we often get asked, “Do you only support lesbian causes?” Founded by a diverse group of LBQ women, the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice has always understood that all liberation is interconnected. Lesbians have long been part of struggles for racial justice, trans rights, disability rights, environmental justice. Through our experience working for human rights, it’s evident that movements are stronger when we share our resources and show up for one another. We recognize the intersecting oppressions we face and the potential for collaboration across differences, identities, and movements. If civic spaces shrink, funding dries up, or leaders retreat, we will continue to show up for all queer and feminist movements. Our funding model looks for people working at the intersections and says, “Lez go.” Art by @bbkashe #LesbianVisibilityDay #IntersectionalFeminism #LezGo

Hello folks, I'm moving to more hand painted pieces! To kick this off I have contributed art to the @nodear_mag No, Dear 2026 Spring Celebration Fundraiser silent auction! It is their biggest event of the year, and supporting this endeavor means more qtpoc have access to poetry, mentorship, community, and performance space. One lucky person can take home my gwurlboi "Mx Duality", an acrylic on wood piece I created for the event. It's about 10"x10". The celebration will take place on Tuesday, April 21st, from 5:30-9pm at @babaonwithers Baba on Withers. Your ticket includes Marseille-inspired food, good company, and, most importantly, poetry by some of No, Dear's beloved friends and contributors—including @tangelina.jolie Tangie Mitchell, @emilyskillings Emily Skillings, @catwei1 Cat Wei, @cursivebreath Ahmed Zaid, @mobrowne Supa Dupa Fresh's Mahogany L. Browne, @adam_falk er Adam Falkner, @RicoFrederick.co Rico Frederick, @jivepoetic Jive Poetic, and Jon Sands. General admission is $50, money well spent. You can bid on the painting without attending the event. A generous donor will match donations up to $2,500, so know that whatever you give will be doubled!

Some of you may know, i picked up a new hobby! If youd like a some weird ink, hit me up, but know im still learning as an apprentice. Tattoos are free for now while I learn about skin, but I will take gifts, tips, niche perfumes, fancy dinners, etc. Hit me over on bbkashe.tattoo before summer starts so your tattoo can heal before being slathered with sunscreen.

Subboi who wants to play 'does it fit' with friends, is this anything? If this is the end times for this nation, is it not our collective duty to be as strange and passionate as possible? Should we not engage in the most silly, cringe, erotic, affirming activities possible at all times? Anyways i made this summery illustration bc i like fetish gear and it stucks you cant really accessorize gear with office work clothes. Everything else is more life

Now when i see fellow queers with cute outfits, im going to make more of an effort to document visually. There is soooo many cool ppl wearing the most exciting and fun clothes, i get so excited. This outfit came together during a community clothing swap at the nonbinarian bookstore. I came with a sack of clothes (yall know i love cleaning out the items and forcing them on my friends), and they were wearing one set of clothes. I chatted with the nonbinarian librarian for speculative fiction recs and turned around and the person was wearing a whole new outfit! Anyway i thought it was so cute and this is what i remembered about their outfit change (im going through a clown phase so i changed their hair and makeup).

During her interview with the MOMA, Pamela Sneed said "100 years ago, there were balls in Harlem." 100 years before that, and even 100 years before that we have been dancing and celebrating one another. This has kept me grounded in the face of erasure. Heres to our resilience in the face of everything theyve tried to throw us. Happy Juneteenth yall TURN UPPP! (Or nap, freely)

Hello! If you havent been the victim of my victory lap around the gayborhood, i created a series of illustrations for @themuseumofmodernart ! This collaboration is an #oralhistory walking tour of nyc artists active during the AIDS pandemic, featuring accounts by Lola Flash @flashnine9 , @Pamela_Sneed , Augusto Machado, Idris Mignott, Aldo Hernandez, and Thea Quiray Tagle @teeqeetee . “Amongst all the sadness around AIDS,” artist and activist Lola Flash says, “there’s so much joy in the community that has held me.” Frequently I feel like we dont have enough information about what POC and especially Black Lesbians were doing during the AIDS pandemic. This is an especially interesting multimedia project that captures a piece of history for several historical sites downtown in Manhattan and uptown in Harlem as a guided walking tour. Check the link in my bio to click through or head to https://bit.ly/MOMAmagxAcacia Many of my brilliant friends work with historical archives and center amazing voices left from history books, and Im happy to say I've caught the bug. Special thanks to @sadbeyonce , @abitchislive , @kiryat , @planet.pal for all the late night support. Here's to the beginning of me exploring illustrated oral histories!

Hi cuties from the internet, and regularly spectacular real life friends, I did a random new thing I’m sharing: my writing! I textile designed in apparel before I switched over to communications during early pandemic. IRL friends will note my virgo obsession with fashion never ended. Here is a whole lot I think about Hackers, a little Fifth Element, some historical impact on (queer) fashion. So if i didnt passionately rant this at you over drinks at 3am or you need a refresher, click over, and tell me of your favorite fashion film? https://bit.ly/HackersBBKashe #hackers #plussizefashion #writer #linkinbio #substack #fashionwriter #queerfashion #moodboards
