this post is a notice of an experience we are having as directed by legal counsel.
for the last 6 weeks the lovely family in pic 01 has been dealing with what is seen in the remaining pics. 2-4 are directed at arielle, she got 30 texts over 6 hours last saturday. the rest were directed to me, threats upon threats and blackmail and assault. this person has contacted friends, colleagues, contemporaries and peers. initially they were bcc'ing people, linda tripp style, trying to bait me into who knows what, but years in hospitality couldn't move me to panic, just brought out the customer service in me, "it seems you are unhappy with your sandwich."
what else to do with the person screaming at you from across the street?
one thing about this troll shit is it feels like hiding if you just accept it sans response. and we weren't telling folks bc it's so ugly and we don't want it to take up our good time w our peoples.
we had been slowly backing away from this person in fear for many months after they showed us screenshots of exactly the same attack against a disabled woman. they bragged about it. "i'm so bout it bout it I attack disabled people, NO ONE IS SAFE!"
we were shook so we were bouncing but also me being me I just can't walk away from someone who's struggling or crashing, I will be inveigled, just too much time with addicts almost dying to dip out. it's a great and crippling attribute of mine.
but then reaching out specifically checking on their well being this person said something just one step too wild for me and then posted some shit like "it's time to escalate" with a coffin skull and rattlesnake emoji and i was like "HEARD!" so i blocked them.
obviously this has gone horribly and so so ugly.
if you have been contacted by this person or someone making claims about A or I please do not respond to them and kindly send a screenshot if you feel up to it.
thanks for listening/reading and btw we're fine but getting these messages isn't exactly great energy for our family or the community at large. check on yr people, mental health is tough rn and in the end it's always a deficit of love and care that produces these types of behaviors.

MIKE KHOURY’S SPITE OF DARKNESS consists of two drummers and two violinists. They perform the compositions of Palestinian-American composer/performer Mike Khoury. The group consists of Mike Khoury on violin, Indira Edwards on violin, Ben Hall on drums, and Ali Allen Colding on drums. Khoury's compositions draw upon folk forms at the intersection of modern composition and free jazz. Khoury's musical background includes work with choreographer/performer Leyya Tawil, a duet with Ben Hall, The Redford Symphony Orchestra as well as the Entropy String Quartet. Indira Edwards is proficient on the violin as well as viola and a composer in their own right. Edwards performs as a soloist, with the group Dick Texas, and is also a member of the Entropy String Quartet. Ben Hall is a producer, composer, and performer with recording and performance credits with Joe Morris, Ken Vandermark, and Don Dietrich, and he leads the groups Oceanic Beloved as well as Field Kitchen. Ali Allen Colding is a mainstay of Detroit drumming with credits that include Sam Sanders, Dorothy Ashby, and James Blood Ulmer. Together, they are Spite of Darkness.

On All I Know In The City, Udoh and Moore don’t move closer to each other, no soft unisons. They don’t hit a groove but a flow definitely occurs as they handhold you through a memory palace of hymns and vocal snippets from various Black-American thinkers/thought providers. Udoh and Moore also don’t get out of each other’s way; there is collision. There are many moments of abrasion but no push and pull or performative hide-and-seek. If the listener feels a pull, it’s gravity, planetary pull. The resultant music is a sort of Black-American bowerbird sound craft, each song a nest and display for the listener to enter and feel, to be inside of.
