SXSW was a world premiere dream come true for team Monitor. Thank you to @claudasaur , @peterhallhuman , and the rest of the @sxsw team and volunteers for making our movieās jump from our tiny monitors to the giant silver screen so special. Photo and press dump š„ļøš
If you are lucky enough to get to make a movie with one of your best buds, you better hope that bud is @ryan_polly Directing like a total champ since the day he was born. He once jackknifed Spielberg's newborn son into a Wyndham Resorts pool, just to prove he could. I followed him overseas last year to witness his ultimate challenge: making me look good. Unless our movie is bad, in which case I barely did anything. First-class movie man, first-class friend.
Out of where and into where? A door exists between two places. Both signs are on this side of the door. I will always come out of the door Iām going into so you only have to label the In door. When you give me the out option Iām suddenly forced to wonder whether I am entering or exiting and it feels like if youāre going to post signage it should make things clearer not more confusing. Kind of like how the airport has arrivals and departures. Technically youāre always doing both when you arrive at the airport to depart. It should be āplane leavingā or āplane landingā or something right? Anyway probably they mean the kitchen good food cute baby.
Wanna watch some shorts these guys made and listen to them talk about it afterwards? No? Well too bad, because @dallasfilmcommission is putting on a free workshop called āHow To Make Your Short Film Feel Bigā and thatās exactly whatās happening at it. Likely the last time āI Bet Youāre Wondering How I Got Hereā and āStalledā will hit the big screen in DFW, so please come on out if you missed them last time. August 16 at 7pm @texastheatre and space is limited, link in bio! š¤
Stalled crossed a million views today, which is pretty neat. Very proud of the mighty artists and friends that pulled it together with limited everything, and hope youāre owning the positive reactions. Thankful for the whole experience. If I could time travel right now I would go to right now.
