All tracks were recorded with a single #echolette D12 Microphone. Vocals, guitar and drums through a Gates sa70tube mic pre from @bigtonerecords , everything else through a @seventhcircleaudio A12. Each track was kissed/squashed with an @audioscapeaudio Opto Comp and the mix got dressed up for the dance with a #Univox spring reverb and #tascam32 tape delay.

In this episode we take an extremely shallow dive into the wonderful world of #tapedelay Utilizing the trusty #tascam32 2 track I found in a pile of garbage in NYC in 2009. Any tape machine with three heads (erase, sync, repro) and the ability to monitor the repro head can be used as a tape delay. This is not the classic 7.5 ips slap back sound, but instead 15 ips with the pitch control at -15%, one of my favorite vocal delay sounds. Almost small roomy, but almost slapbacky.
