Does perfection in form exist? Every task of the craftsman begins with raw material - the material's stage at the moment between its natural or initial state and its treated or end state. The perfect material in the hands of the craftsman is defined by the right texture, pattern, color, and finally, by its ability to take the shape of the envisioned form. The film follows the manufacturing process of plywood - the conversion of wood into raw material.

// !HEADPHONE ALERT! // Presentation film for the launch of VIZULO’s second generation of Stork Little Brother street luminaire. The process of this project was one hell of a ride. Long and exhausting, but by being submerged under a mountain of details about the product it was easy to find inspiration to push myself in a direction for a better result. Together with VIZULO we're over satisfied with the resulting film.
While watching the film you're probably thinking 'What's that great tingling feeling I hear?' Well, you can thank the audio masseurs @dirtydealaudio for that.
To satisfy the artistic needs of the film I used most of my 'know-how', but to top it all off I added some magic sauce - Houdini. A super fun way to approach environment design & animation. All of it, from micro to macro details. Merging Blender with Houdini did require extensive headscratching, but, DAMN, boy! It's such a great combo to work with!
