Welp, this weekend was one for the books! First off I can’t say enough great things about the guys @biltwell and the @biltwell_peoples_champ competition . I didn’t “win”, but it doesn’t matter. I am so humbled by all the love I received and I want to thank everyone that supported me and all the people I’ve met along the way. I popped my @bornfreeshow cherry this weekend as well and I’m looking forward to coming back next year. At the end of the day the six of us built some really killer bikes that we should all be proud of… congrats to my trauma bonded brothers @tony_medellintattoo @andrewcjm @superiorvintageiron @_dereksavage @el_lobo_cycles See ya guys next year !!!

Hailing out of Buffalo, New York we present your 2024 Peoples Champ finalist @barnfiend and his 1990 @harleydavidson Evolution. To cast your vote for Craig, head over to the @biltwell website Monday June 17th through the morning of June 21’st. Once voting closes Craig and the other finalists will ride over the Ortega highway to @cookscornerbar to see who will be crowned this year’s Peoples champ! Regardless of how many votes a builder receives, they can’t win unless their bike makes the whole ride under its own power! The show wouldn’t be possible without the support of: @americanmetalwhiskey @harleydavidson @russbrownmotorcycleattorneys @metzelermotousa @claybournecompany @lowbrowcustoms @choppersmagazine @thorogood_usa @bakerdrivetrain @whiteknucklerarms @ironfirebrewing @jpcycles @liquiddeath @bornfreeshow @super73 @biltwell 📸 @geoffkowalchuk

1977 “Crusty Frank” shovelhead I really enjoyed building and riding this bike this summer Fender/seat combo and tank were found at lowbrow swap meet a million years ago Most of the other parts are swap meet parts or parts I made or modified @crazyfrankenterprises said this was one of the original fenders he made in the 70s Did a bunch of stuff to get it to where it is now Done for now Possibly for sale?

— SOLD OUT —I have these 6-3/8” diameter 3” louvered derby covers for 70-93 big twin Shovelhead & evo (3 hole design). Made in the USA. They are 1/8” thick 5052 aluminum, and ready for chrome, paint or polish. I did a quick hand polish on to match the patina on the outer primary on the bike shown. Can be mounted a variety of ways, so they come undrilled but I provide a template. If you can use a drill and a ruler, you can figure it out. These are for vented belt drive primary but if you ran a full gasket you may be able to get away with using it on a wet primary (no guarantees). Limited run, $50 shipped @chopperswapper #chopperswapper

Introducing “Weekend Warrior”, the result of 10 months of working nights and weekends after my day job in the garage to complete a bike for @biltwell_peoples_champ . This is the first full custom build that I’ve ever done not using OEM parts so it was a huge challenge pretty much every step of the way… I started with a @benjeff single loop intruder frame I won in a raffle last April. That, and a rear wheel are pretty much what I started with when I entered the competition in September of 2023. I cut no corners during this build. The engine is an 80” evolution that I purchased then subsequently disassembled, vapor honed, and rebuilt from top to bottom with all the best parts with help from @tonawandadavid within the span of about a month. It’s kick only, @morrismagneto fired, no battery, and there is very minimal wiring. The transmission is a @bakerdrivetrain 6 into 4 and I’m using a @barnettclutchescables clutch. Most of the parts are one-off and those that are “bolt on” were heavily modified. I didn’t reinvent the wheel and I wasn’t trying to; from the get-go I set out to build a fast, reliable, simple bike with a contemporary style. Something I want to ride. I think I succeeded? Been putting lots of break-in miles on it in preparation for @bornfreeshow … see you guys at Cooks Corner on June 21st For the record.. I can’t say enough good things about the @biltwell guys. I would recommend anyone with some skill and an idea to enter next years Peoples Champ competition. I think that a deadline and some pressure of expectation can yield some pretty cool results.

IYKYK…Static timing a Harley (or any other engine) with a “buzz box” has got to be one of the most annoying yet gratifying things ever. Whos been there??? @morrismagneto @biltwell_peoples_champ
