We were invited to a @worldfoodchampionships event qualifier @walmart bbq battle and block party. There’s two plates a people choice and a judges plate. There’s trick here is you can only use 5 ingredients plus the protein provided. People’s choice was the Return of the Mac, JRH’Q smoked Mac with @mcclarenfarms beef tenderloin. The judges plate was JRH’Q smoked Mac with McClarenfarms beef Dino ribs, cut into burnt ends, called The Texas Cadillac, both were show stoppers and each plate snagged 1st place 🏆. The competition were 4 other top bbq competition teams @xtremetexascookers@bullhornbbq@beardedbbq_1@j_mill10 . This was tough, fast pace, and creative execution at its finest. Super fun and an honor to cook with this group. I had to call in for some arsenal with @pitmaker_bbq_pits@barbcode@pitmaker1 to get the battle wagon and the awesome bbq vault cooked with ease to smoke the ribs to perfection.
