This past weekend, our Central Catholic Grill Team competed at the Texas High School BBQ State Championship for the first time 🔥
Bringing home 3rd in Dutch oven cake and placing 13th overall, the team earned a spot at the National High School BBQ Competition on June 7!

The menu will feature Golden Crunch COD with homemade Dill Tartar Sauce on Saturday, and Glazed Ham with homemade Mango Peach Chutney on Sunday. Super easy and very flavorful dishes!

Concan Frio Fest is my favorite place for a cookoff - we had a cabin and some special friends join us. Friday night kick off with Lucas competing in kids Que. Saturday’s cook ran really well with all of our turn-in’s and the weather held off until after brisket.

Adrienne Hancock tied for first and landed 2nd on dessert
And we had a perfect score 200 brisket and finally got my 777 sticker🙌 Thank you Lord!

Thank you Smokin' on the Rio BBQ Cook-Off for a great weekend! With over 190 teams, Team Chupacabra was fortunate to walk the stage twice and bring home some souvenirs! My heart was pounding with anticipation throughout the awards ceremony! Congrats to Eloy Debi De Leon for the GC and to Bobbyrey Delgado RGC! Both have now qualified to enter the BBQ World Cup & Expo in Las Vegas for that $1Million dollars!!!
